Visited hatch location for the first time yesterday and it is a nice, laid back space. Almost looks like an office break room. Staff are nice, friendly and not pushy. All their coffee beans can be seen and smelled in tiny tin containers laid in front of the roasted bags. When I was ready to make an order the staff was quite nice. She explained she had to make it to go since they were closing. I asked for pour over recommendations and she recommended a couple they are serving. Then she started making my pour over. Slowly and nicely as expected which I truly appreciate since it was closing time. She did even used a cupping spoon to taste the coffee before handing it over which showed me how much they care for quality. They also sell a lot of coffee related tools and equipment with some primer info if needed on the price tags. Overall excellent experience.
coffee r good but no idea why we had the coffee inside the shop but got paper cups while others had dine-in vases and mugs even after confirmed to the cashier that we r dine-in.
Recently I found that Filter(Light) roast option is back. Right move !! I tried one pack and I think I will start buying coffee from Hatch again. At some point there was just "Filter Modern Espresso" roast available which was just burned for my taste so I didn't buy from Hatch for a while. Please keep Light roast in stock !!
Nice environment, great latte and was able to stock up on my favourite bean as well. Today is Nov 29 and it was toasted Nov 25 which is very good in my opinion. $22.00 for the bag. There are some areas to sit but go early Saturday to grab a table. There is also a workshop area in the back with classes occurring and it’s neat to watch while awaiting your coffee. It’s located in an industrial type area in Markham. Lots of parking on site.
It is a 10/10! It really doesn't get any better. Perfectly extracted espresso with floral, fruity and sweet notes distinctive from an Ethiopian coffee. The pour over is a must try too! It is very smooth but yet flavorful.
This place is a real coffee experience, they make perfect, real coffee. No flavour shots. Also other cute trinkets here for coffee making. Canned cold coffee is here too.
This place is a coffee roaster as well, so I figured their coffee would be amazing. One of the best iced lattes I’ve had. You get to pick between two espresso bean options which was cool as well, and they had a large selection of coffee beans to purchase. There was also a seating area which was great! Will definitely be returning
