Aftab is one of the best Instructors i have ever dealt with. All my family members have been going to him. One thing for sure is that he respects all age groups and deals with each individual accordingly..!! Never cancels an appointment and is always on time..!! 1000% would recommend him for your lessons.!
First off, I want to start by saying that Aftab is an amazing instructor and truly cares about his students. I struggled greatly with anxiety when it comes to driving to the point that I am shaking, sweating, my heart is pounding, and I get a freeze response. Aftab had told me from day 1 with my first lesson that I could drive. No matter how much I doubted myself and kept beating myself up for mistakes he never stopped believing in me. Throughout the remaining lessons he would always tell me I can drive and that it wasn’t my skill that was the issue but my mind. He is very strict with his lessons but it is because he wants all his students to be safe drivers. He teaches like a father and puts just enough pressure on you for you to succeed. To be honest, I have felt bad about my driving after some lessons with Aftab because I felt like I failed or did not do as well, because I continued to struggle greatly with my anxiety. I have even cried after practising driving at home with my boyfriend because I was so scared; however, my boyfriend would point out that my driving was fine and I was doing so safely. Today, I passed my G2 test with Aftab on my first try. When I look back on those lessons, I realized why he was so strict with me. The mix of the pressure to perfect my driving and the support/reassurance he gave was exactly what I needed. Otherwise those lessons would have never stayed with me. I strongly recommend Aftab to anyone for lessons especially those who struggle with anxiety. I never thought I could overcome my fear of driving let alone get my G2! I can’t thank you enough Aftab for everything you’ve done for me. I hope to get another lesson from you when it is time for my G test!
I have known Aftab for 5 years now, initially I went to him for G2, I had my doubts with my driving since I came from a discouraging environment but he was able to give me the confidence that I could do it and I passed the G2 on the first try. It was the courage he helped me develop during lessons that made it possible. I was encouraged to take the G exam shortly after so the driving was still fresh in practice but I ended up moving overseas and was not able to tend to it until it was nearing expiration. I barely had any driving practice over the years since I did not have access to a car, but I remembered Aftab because of the positive experience I've had with driving under his instruction so I contacted him, booked some lessons over the month and had the driving exam at the end of the month. I drove whenever I could, and kept practicing, I had my doubts but I passed and got my G with no mistakes. I want to also mention that 3 days prior to the exam I actually got into a parking accident so I was shaken, but Aftab noticed my change in confidence while driving immediately and was able to talk me out of giving into it. He is methodic with his instruction, has solid years of experience in the industry that I can say I will fully trust him without doubt. Thank you Aftab, he is not just an instructor but a friend I will always treasure!
I highly, highly recommend Aftab as a driving instructor! He shows that he truly cares about his students and is committed to helping them build good, safe driving habits for life. He is very dedicated to teaching them, and accommodating students so they can learn at their own pace. He is calm and patient in helping his students build up confidence behind the wheel with each lesson, which is very good for anxious drivers! He is very knowledgeable, and has super great tips for parking and methods for all driving maneuvers. He is an amazing mentor and person, and getting my G2 was no stress with his help. 6/5 stars
