What to say about this place, man. It’s just a nice cozy little game shop run by good people who really know what they’re doing. They have this massive set of tables in the back for playing card games and D&D, and they host drop-in nights and tournaments all the time (literally weekly lol). No matter what you’re into, Pokémon, Yu Gi Oh, One Piece TCG, these guys have got it. In my opinion, one of the best things in Markham in general
Love this store, the team is great, responsive and really shares their knowledge. There's game nights for yugioh, Pokémon etc. Anyone can join even if you have a young player at home just learning. The group that comes out for tournaments are very supportive and help the kids understand. If your looking to stock up on cards they have separate boxes and binders of cards in addition to the packs. 35cents per semi foiled pokemon card...it was a great deal for the cards I was able to get for the kids.
I'm not a frequent visitor of hobby shops, but I recently got into Magic: The Gathering and decided to check the place out. I am so fricking glad I did. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the sense of community I get there is absolutely amazing. Absolute pleasure talkg with Alex, Anson, Joey, and Liam! Each time I have gone to the shop they have taken then time to explain a lot of stuff and help me understand the game better. Very helpful in looking at cards, and super fun just talking and geeking out with them!! And even as an ambivert who leans more to my introverted side, I felt very safe and comfortable there!! I also heard there are DnD sessions there which sounds super interesting and super cool!!! Can't recommend the place and the employees there enough!!! >,<
What can I say, I've been to not many card stores or hobby shops but I walked in here the first time today. And I can tell you I can go back again. The customer service here was impeccable, they were not only friendly but helped me make an everlasting bond with my hobby. I've always loved the show One Piece and if I'm in the area again, I would def drop by and buy a few packs just to say hi to the staff. Big thank you to Anson and small thank you to Alex! :) :)
As a new Yugioh player, I was pretty intimidated to step foot into my first local card shop scene. Luckily for me, Anson and Liam went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. They answered all my questions and even introduced me to regulars who were happy to show me the ropes. If you're hesitant about starting out with card games, Three Kingdoms is the right place to be. Huge thanks to both Anson and Liam for being as welcoming as they are.
You already know who's review this is for... Anson!! Man... Words cannot express how useful this man has been. He is helpin' me out with getting some storage for my Yugioh cards, introducin' me into the One Piece TCG, and he really likes plants and hydroponics if you ever want to strike up a conversation with him. Speakin' of, his conversation skills are quite masterful, he is very well spoken and passionate of what he talks about. He obviously loves working at the store and deserves a raise! Three Kingdoms is such an absolute gem in Markham. The staff (especially David and Joey who I have the most experience with) are some of the nicest and most supportive people. I’ve been going weekly to play Lorcana here for a while now and it had become almost like a form of therapy. They are so welcoming and help you feel like part of the family. Three Kingdoms is a definite must visit for anyone in Markham!
