A good track that is decently priced especially if you opt for the multi round packages. The course is reasonably well maintained and there are a wide variety of interesting holes. Some holes that reward precision and some that reward length. One of the tracks that we play regularly.
It’s golf course designed for walking that is near the city. It’s flat but yet very challenging. The course is very well maintained and the green was relatively speed. Friendly staff and reasonable green fee. 16th is the island green which was really fun to play. Power carts are all electric, powerful, quiet and most importantly very clean. The staff at UU has done a great job.
Great course conditions, friendly staff and good value for your money. One of the better Doug Carrick course designs. Has an island green (see my pictures) and some pretty interesting hole designs. Hole #9 and #7 can be challenging. If you can do well on those, you're generally in for a decent round
One of the best public courses in the GTA. The course is always in great condition. Even during a major irrigation improvement project, they kept the course in fantastic shape. Greens run true and it's a challenging, yet fair course. But the main draw is the staff. Friendly and professional from the GM and head pro to the pro shop staff, marshalls and food and beverage staff. Everyone is courteous and accommodating. I'll be back here quite a bit!
Upper Unionville is a beautiful course, very well maintained and amazing greens. Really beautiful course, very challenging as there are hazards all throughout this course. Overall it’s a fantastic course and worth trying out if you’ve never played it. Just keep in mind it’s pricey especially with the cart fee.
I've been coming here for several years now as a guest due to my sibling being a member there. I only go (golfing once annually) on my birthdays, and prior to this, I've chosen countless other courses as my birthday destination, and have pretty much stopped looking elsewhere - for many excellent reasons. The customer service here is outstanding. From the starter, the pro shop, the cart staff, the marshal, etc., I have not once had a bad customer service, even though I'm not a member. The course is breathtaking and the greens are pristine because it is consistently maintained. I've been there in near 40 C weather and the greens were still in excellent condition. Out of the 50+ different (public and private) courses I've played at in Ontario, Upper Unionville is still unmatched. If you ever have a chance to play here, take it....you won't regret the experience. To the management team: thank you for always making me feel special and I can tell you take pride in making your course second to none. I also hope you always continue to allow members to invite their guests - even if they aren't physically present.
The starter is a real piece of work. He's been completely out of line with my group twice now. The first time he took exception to the path we took driving our carts from the putting green to the first tee box. A completely ridiculous and unnecessary comment. Then this past week, I take some new friends there....we are on the first tee chatting and having a good time, then this starter comes over and states we should not be too chatty and be aware of the speed of play. Excuse me? Basically "shut up and golf". The group in front of us were still in the fairway. I won't be back.
