I really wanted to like Low Carb Grocery in Markham, but the experience just wasn’t it. The sugar-free chocolate section was almost completely empty, and the cashier’s explanation — that everything was “being rebranded” — didn’t line up with how wiped-out the shelves looked. The “Too Good To Go” setup was even more confusing. They had the near-expired bags displayed right at the front, but wouldn’t sell them unless I ordered through the app. Why put items out that customers can’t actually buy? I left more confused than when I walked in. The store itself felt dark, outdated, and understocked. Signage wasn’t clear, staff didn’t seem particularly engaged, and the overall vibe was just uninviting. For the limited selection, the prices also felt higher than other specialty stores. Not the worst place ever, but definitely disappointing — especially when there are better-run alternatives nearby. I won’t be rushing back.
found this store years ago and been hooked ever since. so many specialty items i cant find anywhere else. the people that work there make it feel like home. i always recommend this shop to anyone i know. when i have visitors from out of town, i ALWAYS bring them here with me at least once
Find all your low carb and keto needs here. Love the Betty low carb bread so soft and fresh, and they have kaizen pasta which i love!! The cashier is always nice and helpful! Wish there were more of these everywhere
Good selection. I come from London for the Carbalose (cakes and bakes) and Carbquik (pancakes, waffles and pie crust) and pick up nsa marmalade and sauces. I’m old so staff feel like children, yet helpful and enthusiastic
Not all items are geared to low carbs. Prices are through the roof!! Isn't there a better way As long as they won't carry Fresh Dress- Green Goddess salad dressing..this review will stay at 1 star
I'm a Keto person and try to eat as healthy as possible but the options where I live are still limited. The Low Carb Grocery store in Ontario has a very wide selection of low-carb products that can be delivered right to my door. Everything arrives fresh and well packed in ecological packing materials (no plastic or foam). Their prices are very reasonable for specialty foods and shipping is free for orders over $99 (subject to a generous maximum weight). The product info on their website is among the best I've seen. Every single product has photos, a detailed description and full nutritional values so you really know what you're ordering and don't get any surprises upon receipt. I definitely recommend this store and have recommended it to many already. One day I'd love to go to the store in person so I can see. some of their low-carb refrigerated and frozen products (like keto ice cream).
Pretty much the only place for in store keto/low carb products in Ontario, secondary location in B.C. Online for delivery Decent selection that continues to add to their offerings, sugar and gluten free products as well
