I was disappointed to find that a noticeable chunk of my mom’s hair was missed during the styling process. I understand that mistakes can happen, but attention to detail is especially important when it comes to hair. I would’ve appreciated a more thorough check before the appointment ended. I’m sharing this feedback not to be harsh, but in the hope that more care will be taken in the future. She’d consider giving the salon another try, especially if there’s some reassurance that quality control will be a bigger priority.
Went in as a new customer to get my hair cut shorter in a layered style, I even showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. I had relatively long hair and asked it to be cut a bit over shoulder length. It was horrible! the stylist botched my hair so bad, it was only after I went home and I looked at the work closely that I noticed the haircut was NOT layered and it was cut uneven all around. It had no style or dimension or character. I don't think the stylist knew what she was doing at all! Definitely not a returning customer!!
Bad experience, they are not friendly to new customers, impatient when cutting my hair, $22 for cutting long hair only 20mins, the outcome of my haircut was not good.
Been seeing Bonnie for at least 10 years for a haircut / trim. Her hair cutting skills is excellent and have always walked out happy with my hair cut. Most importantly she cuts off exactly the amount requested every time - no more or less. For a female with long hair, length is critical and Bonnie understands! I've been burned when I tried a different salon and they chopped off additional 4-5 inches than I had asked for because that stylist decided so - Never again. I will always go back to Bonnie even though I have moved hours away from the city!! Yes, there are other reviews that mentions Ben's Salon looks dated. However, I believe this is why they're able to keep their very reasonable prices consistent after all these years which is a major plus. The salon is still clean even though the aesthetic is not up to date. If you're looking to go to a salon to be pampered like a spa - then this isn't a place for you. However, if you're simply looking for a no bs haircut service and stylist who is never pushy to try and up sell additional services - then I highly recommend Ben's Salon. Thank you Bonnie!
The business owner is not nice to Mandarin speaking customers. He is just very kind to the customers who often go there but not kind to new customers. Very very disappointed. Also, the hair cutting is bad. Won't go there again. Very sad regarding the bad customer service and I finally paid for the tips.
Owner Ben and his staff, Bonnie treat their Customer as friends. I used their service since came to Toronto. I wouldn't compliant the great and fast service with reasonable price ($14 + tips)
