Went there today for lunch $26 for a Margherita Pizza, I ate two slices because I was hungry, it was a Frozen pizza ,crust was thin and gummy , cheap cheese and dry basil sprinkled on top. Ive eaten frozen grocery store pizza that was better. $6 for an espresso coffee really, total paid with a 20% tip was $42. I was expecting a fresh pizza.What a disappointment. I noticed price on other menu items very high, only 2 or 3 tables were occupied on a Friday at lunch. I was with a friend who recommended the place , the owner came by and asked if everything was good, I said not bad and he was surprised I said not bad he repeated not bad so I said you know why he said yes and walked away. I didn't want to embarrass my friend but If I was on my own I would have walked out when I saw the pizza.
I ordered the lamb shank but they were out. So I had the liver, which was recommended as one of their best dishes. It was very dry, 3 small very thin slices and tasteless. The table was very close to the pass through order window and the servers had to ask to move the chairs closer to the table so they could move around.
This place has wonderful Italian food! I had a tomato and mozzarella appetizer and it was super fresh with authentic ingredients. Also have the grilled seafood medley and the calamari squid served whole and slightly cut was grilled to perfection. I also had the rack of lamb. The only disappointment was that I ordered at medium and it came slightly undercooked from medium, but it was still amazingly fresh so quite edible . A very good restaurant to try in North Toronto. I will be seeing you again and again thank you
the veal limone cut with your fork and melts in your mouth. Nice table Cabernet Great attentive and personable service. Even their apple pie is to die for You get what you pay for
Overall it’s a great place to chat and have some Italian food. But I gotta say something that bothered me a little bit. I brought a bottle of jasmine tea and the owner of the restaurant didn’t allow me to drink it I mean, I ordered my own white wine, and he probably took the jasmine tea as a bottle of wine I brought? I’m just a little girl who likes to drink some cold bottled jasmine tea.
Food is not bad. Price is reasonable. Service and portion is good. Only thing is the pizza, I prefer thin crust and more meat options. I will come back again
Food was a bit above average but not worth the price. Restroom was disgusting. Service was terrible. We had to clear our table after an extended period because the server was no where in sight. Also never came by even once to see if we needed anything. Owner walked around with his mask below his chin while very friendly chatting with everyone. Having said that, the place was busy with what appeared regulars. We won't be back but it does seem popular. I guess whatever appeal they have works.
