As someone with zero knowledge on hardscaping, I went to Milliken Farms looking to get some pricing and guidance. The staff were very friendly and answered all my questions.
Purchased triple mix for a raised garden bed. Product is so disappointing, I had a garden bed of weeds growing within a few days. Haven't even seeded the bed. Would not recommend. Better off buying commercial bagged soil.
I have been buying landscaping supplies from Milliken for over 10 years as I used to live across the street. They have better pricing than big box stores. For example HD sells a bag of polymeric sand for $37 and it is only $27 at Milliken. A bag of limestone screening is $9+ at HD and it is only $7 at Milliken. Milliken even has workers load up the bags into your car. Great service.
Have purchased from this place over the years from time to time before (garden rocks, crushed stones and patio stones). Prices are reasonable and they have helpers to help you load the stuff you buy to your vehicle.
Agree with most of the positive comments. Good collection of stones, soil, fertilizer, pebbles and other landscaping supplies. I did by backyard landscaping, including patio, all by myself and all supplies were from Milliken Farms. They are also very swift with order modifications and returns. Couple of comments - Understaffed: They are seriously understaffed. Expect to wait for at least half an hour on cash counter and similar for the loading staff to get your purchases on truck. Stone cutting: They have one of the best stone cutting equipment in neighbourhood, but it may not be functional (broken down or operator unavailability). Strongly suggest that you call (be prepared to call 5-7 times to have your call answered) and confirm before heading there for your cutting needs.
Good source for landscaping material. Good service, and they liad up your vehicle, but can he busy at times so you need to be patient. They even cut stone for you.
