Long wait time, good variety of food, not the freshest food however. Expensive. Food quality was mediocre. Its cooked. Went on oyster night. Oysters were fresh till the end of the night when a bunched were opened and left on the counter. Sashimi was piled high resulting in medium freshness at best. Noodle from noodle soup was bland. Lots of generic food as well. Ambience was great and they were constantly showing a taste of China to introduce many foods... that they were not serving. Peking duck was cooked nicely but pieces were too large and the wrap tasted like pita instead of how it's supposed to taste like. Generally not bad but not sure I would return considering the price versus food actually being served.
Although out of the way in Richmond Hill, this location is way better than its sister restaurant Dragon Pearl at Don Mills and York Mills. This restaurant is much bigger and the food selection is greater and tastes better! I also found the food to be more fresh than at the Pearl. Service is good as there don't seem to be as many customers here compared to dragon pearl. It's worth it to drive here if you want a better value for this buffet.
The food was great! I went with a group of 8 people (immediate family and relatives). Although it did take some time to get a table, I'm glad we received a circular table with a spinning table on top. I often use one at home and it's great for sharing. My siblings and I got plates of almost all the food and we placed it on ththe circular table to share. My uncle and dad literally did not have to get up at all even though it's a walk around buffet. I highly recommend using it if you have one at your table.The Peking duck was great but the line was long when we first got there (around 8). By the end of the night, there were less people and many of the foods were easier to access.
One of my favorite buffet places. I usually dont enjoy Chinese buffets nowadays but this place I would never pass up. Servers are very attentive and keep your table clean and the restaurant is very spacious and well decorated. Food seems to be of much higher quality than what you would get at a Mandarin buffet.
Ive been here many, many times. The best thing about this buffet is the Peking duck! Everything else is just mediocre. When you come during Moon Cake Festival Season, they put up lanterns and decorate the restaurant. They have a wide selection of food, ranging from sushi, typical Chinese foods, a few western dishes, and a large dessert section. When you enter, youre greeted by the hostess and seated. This restaurant is buffet style, meaning you grab a plate and eat as much as your heart desires. Once you finish, you leave your plate on the table and the server clears it. The bathrooms are a little tricky. The stalls are separate for male and female, but the sinks are placed just before the entrance to the stalls (co-ed/neutral sink area?). This restaurant is great for large groups and families with children. I would recommend for special occasions or once in awhile.
