First time visiting Pacific Mall and found this place — the shaomai and wonton are truly authentic, just like in Shanghai. The staff were very hospitable, and the taste felt like a homecoming for any Shanghainese. A must-try!

Really authentic and traditional Shanghai dim sum! Very delicious exactly what you can get in Shanghai. The owner is very nice and decent. The only drawback is the environment of the food court is not so pleasant and they can’t offer my favorite Shanghai noodles as they do in another store.

Great, authentic Shanghai cuisine! Savoring a hearty wonton soup paired with meaty Shaomai is the ultimate experience for chilly winter days. The shop is located on the second floor inside heritage town - took me a while to find it, but it’s absolutely worth the effort.

It did take them a little bit to make it, but watching them make the dumplings was amazing, and entertaining to watch. having the Shanghai Pork and Bamboo Shaomai for dinner :)

This is my go-to place for Shanghai dim sum in Toronto. My CBC daughter used to like cheese pizza the best and wasn't interested in Chinese cuisine. This place has turned that around! And the frozen dumpling at this store is absolutely way better than those franchises found in a grocery store.

This dumpling spot in Pacific Mall is a super-solid choice. It’s one of the few places that tug at my heartstrings, especially when I see the old ladies making dumplings during quieter times. It reminds me so much of my time living in China. That nostalgic feeling is so strong that I’d be happy even if they just served me a cup of water. The dumplings here bring back all those good memories. The Shanghai Shaomai is my favorite, striking the perfect balance between juicy and meaty. The texture is just right, not too chewy, dense, or tender. It hits the sweet spot every time, providing a comforting, home-like experience even though I’m not Chinese. How many restaurants can create such magic? This place does, and it’s a gem.

Hidden gem in the Pacific Mall food court with authentic Shanghainese shao mai + Nanjing duck soup that reminds us of home. Service was great, food was delicious, we will be back!

We’re so glad you and your child enjoyed the food! Delicious food knows no borders! For kids, trying different flavors is also a fun way to experience diverse cultures. Just like your little one, our son loves pizza too. From our family shop, his favorites are the zongzi and little wontons. Next time you visit, show us this message, and we’ll treat your child to a zongzi to try as well! :)
