I came in today after seeing a few really good tiktok reviews of this place and it was not worth it. We got the chicken roll and a chili chicken kothu spicy with gravy. The main concern was the service. There was a customer before me who ordered over the phone but was still waiting a long time for her rotis. Whenever she brought it up to the woman working, she literally didn’t even care. It came to a point where the customer asked to leave with whatever is ready and the worker did not care or apologize for the wait. She didn’t even reassure that it would be ready soon. After the customer left the worker made fun of her with another man who came in after, I think her friend because she gave him some short eats and they were mostly talking. It was really disappointing to see customer service like that. There was no care or anything taken seriously. I totally understand why that customer was frustrated and it looks bad for other customers to see the worker behave like that. The food was okay. The chicken roll was cold and had no actual chicken just potatoe. The flavour was okay though. The kothu was nothing to brag about and was underwhelming. It was around 15-20 mins to recieve which was okay. There was an okay amount of chicken but it was pretty dry/lacking gravy. There wasn’t really any chili chicken flavour to it. It seemed like a chicken kothu that was dry and it would’ve been good if that was what I ordered. I think this kothu is decent for the price and was affordable which is nice. It just needed some more gravy. The curries look really good though so I wish I got that instead. I don’t think I would come back here just based on seeing the way the service is. There’s nothing really special to come out of your way but it seems like an okay place if it was close by.
Very bad experience at Rasa Thi Restaurant (9909 Markham Rd Unit #11 & #12, Markham, ON). The food I received was not fresh, very oily, dry, and hard. The oil had a terrible smell, and it was clear the food was old. This is a serious food safety issue—serving spoiled or expired food can make people sick. I had to spend money on medication after eating here. Restaurants should care about customers’ health, not just making money. If this continues, I will report to the Ontario health department. I reply to the owner want to clarify that I did not lie in my review. When I came to your restaurant, I spoke to you directly in person. I even told you to try the food in front of me, and you admitted the problem and threw the food into the garbage right away, saying “I am sorry.” If you now claim my review is false, that is not acceptable. I work in healthcare and I know the importance of food safety. If this issue continues or if you deny responsibility, I will have no choice but to report it to the Ontario Health Department. Customers deserve safe, fresh food and honesty from restaurant owners.
Ordered the mutton and chicken patties. Mutton patty was good but it was a bit dry could use more gravy. The chicken patty was amazing. Also got the mutton kothu, I asked for extra spicy and extra gravy but it was more dry, not spicy at all and not much mutton.
I wish I could give zero stars food quality is go down we bought veggie rotty the curry is very bad and very bad smell when we ripe the potty worst restaurant
First time coming here. We decided to get a few chicken rolls and samosas which were both very good! We tried their Thursday daily specials: Masala dosa- dosa had potatoes as the filling. Dosa was too thick for my liking. Chicken biryani- this was pretty good and flavourful. Would order again.
Delicious Patties at Rasa Thi! Tried the mutton, chicken, and butter chicken patties—each one packed with flavor! The mutton was phenomenal, easily our favorite. The chicken came in second, well-seasoned and delicious. The butter chicken was good too, but the other two stood out more. Flaky crust, rich fillings—definitely worth a visit!!!
