As someone who isn't too deep into second hand shopping these resale stores are some of my favourite as they are easy to browse and already filtered through. This shop is no different as they have a pretty nice selection for tops and jeans. I saw a good amount of items on sale and the staff told me which were final sale and what could still be returned. All the staff seemed polite, but I received help from Anna and Liz who were both friendly and accommodating, even while having other things going on (I think one was processing a buy). While I don't go out much to shop I'll check out this location again in the future and do more digging cause I'm sure there's some.
Horrible experience. Just left the store and There is this one girl with a blue/purple Hoodie with her hood on mind you gave weird glances at me and seemed very unprofessional as she was always her phone and I heard her sweat multiple times around me and my children. She is very short and should be retrained immediately. I come here all the time with my kids and consistently see her, she genuinely always have given me bad vibes. Reading the other reviews, I believe she’s been a problem to more than just me. If the owner could do something about this , I think everyone would appreciate it.
Every time I go to sell stuff they lowball me. Just made 20 bucks off a 600 dollar pair of shoes and another 300 dollar pair of shoes. Workers are also rude and the place is dirty, City of Markham will be getting a call.
I usually enjoy enjoy shopping second hand and had high hopes for Plato’s Closet but my experience was poor customer service.On multiple visits I encountered staff who seemed disinterested, unwelcoming,disrespectful make customer wait deliberately and at the times even rude I was there today the girl who at the counter she was chewing gum also talking to me very rude..Rather than offering help or greeting’s to the customers they often acted as if customers are burden. I also dropped excellent condition items they sell higher prices but buy wanna buy from me for a nothing . The store itself has a decent selection but the unprofessional attitude trim the staff made me not want to return I also pointed to person who served me today .Shopping should feel comfortable and inviting especially in a store tgag relies on community engagement and uses items .Unfortunately Plato’s closet fell short for me in that respect. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements ,This store needs a new manager and staff.
I am very upset. I checked the hours of this location and it said open til 9:00. I travelled over 30 minutes to this location and at 5:40 there’s a printed sign on the door that says they closed at 5 today…… I came all this way for no reason. How can you just spontaneously close when your hours are until 9…
The company ad they will buy used cloths . Don’t wast your time . I brought my new and used clothes , some still has price tags on it. . Or some of them I worn couple times .they brought from me 2 pieces , $1 for each . I went home up load on Kijiji and face book market for sale all the remain Cloths. I got $500. Don’t believe their ads .
