I just went to this location of Coffee Time for the first time, and it was excellent! The menu is extremely extensive, with options from omelettes, to patties, to wraps, to breakfast sandwiches, and more. I ordered an omelette, and it came quickly, it was fresh, and delicious. The service was much better than you would expect at a fast food restaurant. They buttered my bread for me, rather than giving me butter to do it myself. They even brought the food to my table, and took the dishes away when I was done. I can't say enough good things about my first experience here.
The owner was yelling at the customer... I don't know, I thought I saw it wrong, but yes the owner was mad for some reason. Also, my coffee price seemed overcharged, this place is ridiculous
BE CAREFUL!!! The item prices shown on the cashier is already after tax compared to the menu, and then they charged 13% again at the end! I only realised this after I tapped my credit card, talked to them and the owner gave me the wrong change back, said this is his “first time” doing this ಠ_ಠ
I ordered a coffee and sat down at the table to drink it while taking a telephone call on a quiet Saturday morning. Without any warning, the elderly male shopkeeper walks up to me and demanded that I take my call outside the store in the cold pouring rain. Not the way to handle treatment of a regular customer.
This is not your typical Coffee Time, had an incredible experience every single time I’ve come here. Their food selection, execution and quality of service is probably the best in the GTA. Owned and operated by welcoming people who genuinely care about your satisfaction. There’s 2 coffee time around where I live, yet I drive 20 minutes to come here whenever I get the cravings.
On Tuesday, July 13 at 5 PM, an old Asian male working at 385 John St, Unit 5 was extremely rude for no apparent reason. I placed an Uber pickup order and he told me he was no longer taking Uber orders after I already paid. When I asked politely for clarification he shoved a tablet in my face and yelled “what don’t you understand, I am not taking any Uber orders and I’m busy”. Furthermore, he wasn’t wearing a mask and I saw him touching his face with his hands without practicing hand hygiene afterwards. I won’t be coming here any longer since I felt that I was attacked and disrespected. The company should really terminate this man from working regardless of his situation because no person should ever experience this kind of service.
This is a great spot not only for coffee but for other kinds of cold drinks. Spacious and clean and very friendly owner. It has the basic offerings for eating but also stuffed Jamaican patties, omelets, udon and more. TV news and newspapers encourage me to linger. Brownies are delicious!
