A woman apart of Mainly Mac who seemed to be related to Phill, was shovelling snow, and asked me where I’d parked? “I walked” responding as I’d entered the store. It was snowing lightly and would begin to blizzard in an hour. Catching me on my way out -unbeknownst to any of my business inside the store- she insisted on driving me home in this weather! I kindly declined, stunned by her hospitality. Phill at mainly mac is exactly what you’re looking for when you think “ma and pa store”. He’s smart, personable, and responsive- walking me through my issue, what mainly mac will do to fix it, and in less than a week my MacBook was fixed at a fair price. After over a year later; I’d run into another issue and brought my MacBook back to Phill. After explaining the situation, and quenching my nerves, he had it fixed in a few days. Although his original quote was off, the final price was fair.
Although I have been a customer for many years, I just finished a phone call with Mainly Mac and was compelled to write a review. Mainly Mac is a great source for buying products, performing Apple Mac service and assisting with new purchase decisions, Mac configurations, options and specifications. They are very generous with their time and knowledge, and asked me many questions to ensure they understood my needs, problems and requirements… before making any suggestions or recommendations. I was quite impressed with their Apple and Mac knowledge, and how friendly they are. They really empathized with my needs. They helped me with my Mac service issue very promptly and professionally. We are fortunate to have this Apple resource here in Markham! Highly recommended!

This firm definitely knows how to make old machines work like new. We were having problems with our 8 year old mac getting slow and slower. Mainly Mac said bring it up to them, they can put in some new hardware and have it performing like a machine just a year or two old. I was very sceptical at first. However, when they finished their work and I brought it back to the house, I saw a massive improvement. Boot up took from nearly a minute to seconds. Applications that took upward of 2 to 3 minutes to load and start, started up almost immediately. I don’t know what they did but the changes they made definitely has extended the life of our Mac. If you don’t want to or can’t afford a new desktop, you need to talk with these guys. For a few hundred bucks, they can definitely extend the life of your mac machine.
November 2025 This is a further update from my previous review. I am not sure I can add more to the great service and expertise that the team demonstrates at Mainly Mac. This is how Mac service should be. Here is what I said before: Tried them all. This is the best service and highest level of expertise I have found. Plus no line-ups, a real person picks up the phone and when I need immediate attention, Jane responds with bring it in now and we will run a diagnostic. 30 min later we are onto the solution. I have two macs that are running in top condition thanks to Mainly Mac. They are the best in the business. November 2025 I need to add this. We just had a severely water-damaged mac. Again, Jane and her team brought this computer back to life. Reasonable cost. Timely service. Over 10 years of top quality service. Thank you
