This review is for the Pacific Mall location and I would give it 0 stars if it was an option.I had 3 watches that needed a new battery and was told it would take 10 mintues to change all 3. I told her I would walk around and be back. After half an hour I came back and she told me they had to take one watch "upstairs" to close it since their machine couldn't do it and to come back in 15 minutes. I come back half an hour later and she tells me that they had to send it to their other office close by because their machine couldn't close it. I asked to speak to the Manager and he told me they had to send it out, again because their machine was not able to close it. He said he would call me when it is ready. I left the store frustrated but there was nothing I could do. 3 days later I get a call that it's ready and I can pick it up at Dundas & Yonge. I go to a totally different store, not affiliated with JCY, and was told JCY badly dented my watch, so bad that the dent is still visible. There's no point in complaining because they lied to me multiple times. It's still wearable but with a dent at the back. DO NOT get anything repaired here! They do not know what they are doing and the watch repair guy even said so!Update: The backing of my watch ended up falling out. I contacted the Manager Bowie and he said he would fix it. It took 3 months but he found a new backing and the watch has been repaired. I'll give him 3 stars for his effort but I wouldn't take my watch here for a battery change.
I visited many jewelers and never felt comfortable with any of them until I met Bowie at JCY Jewellery at Pacific Mall. I was greeted immediately and never once pushy, he patiently walked me through the whole process and educated me on important characteristics of a stone in order to make an informed decision. After understanding what I needed, he transferred a variety of different stones to his store for me to have a look and compare. Again spending considerable amount of time educating me about the stones, he was attentive, personable and never pressured me into making any decisions . I was able to choose a beautiful stone on a customized setting. His services were excellent that I have already recommended two family members to visit, of which have all purchased items from them.
Had our wedding rings custom made at this location. The service was excellent! Staff (Bowie) was very friendly and our rings were very reasonablely priced. The rings was ready within its ETA and in great condition. Highly recommended if you are looking at getting your rings custom made with your own design!
I was introduced to JCY Jewellery about a year ago and since then my fianc and I have visited on mulitple occasions. The store manager, Bowie, is very knowledgable and often will provide us with ideas and suggestions to help guide our purchases. The staff are also very welcoming. Post-sale services are awesome. We've introduced a few friends since and would not hesitate to recommend Bowie again.
