Extremely unacceptable customer service. The receptionist was shockingly rude and disrespectful. I absolutely do not recommend this place — their attitude toward customers is beyond unacceptable. When I entered the shop, I politely asked the receptionist, “Can I do a shellac manicure and pedicure, please?” She opened her eyes wide and replied, “WHAT?” I repeated my request and asked if she could speak Vietnamese. She said “NO,” then immediately turned away to talk to another client. I stayed patient and waited for her to finish. When she finally came back, she asked, “What do you want to do?” in a very rude tone, even suggesting if I wanted normal nail polish. It was around 6:45 PM, and since the store closes at 8:00 PM, it was clear she just didn’t want to accept a walk-in and showed a very negative attitude toward me. Because of her behavior, I responded, “I want a full set shellac, not the normal one — but due to your attitude, I’m sorry, I don’t want to do it anymore.” Now, seeing how the owner responded as well, good luck. Your nail salon will continue to lose customers because of the poor communication and unprofessional behavior from your receptionist.
I go here often and have always loved how my nails turn out regardless of who I go to. I most recently had Rachel do my nails and she was awesome! She’s very meticulous and made sure I was happy with my nails!
I went in for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure today and left without the pedicure due to a sour start to my appointment. While prepping my nails, the owner doing my nails immediately prefaced that a natural mark on one of my nails was my “nail’s problem”, “not her problem” which I thought was a strange comment. Funnily enough, minutes later she clipped the cuticle of my thumb too short, causing significant bleeding onto my nail. As pictured, you can see the skin below the cuticle is quite inflamed from the injury. I do appreciate that she tried her best to stop the bleeding with alcohol and a blue liquid- she did not disclose the name to me, but said it was medication. I do not appreciate that she tried to play it off as my fault for being stiff and not relaxed enough. I can’t help but feel that this could have been avoided if she had just been paying attention while doing my nails. Constant talking with other employees, answering her cell phone, random side tasks, looking away from my nails and talking while using tools on them, are all things I observed that may have resulted in this carelessness. I also paid full price for this service, which in retrospect I don’t think is fair. It’s a shame the manicure came out nice, but the experience ruined it for me. I did not want to leave this review but I seriously hope this changes the way this business operates because I see others have had similar experiences here.
I never recommend this place. They aren’t respectful.if you looking for get relax here isn’t that. They talk all the time their language and laughing high sound. Their job was unprofessional .l did shellac and full face waxing . I have to get this service again.

Tools were sterilized, stations were spotless, and I noticed the staff following strict cleanliness protocols, which made me feel safe and comfortable. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of service, and they even had a loyalty program, which was a nice bonus. I left with beautiful nails and a big smile. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends. If you’re looking for a professional, relaxing, and top-notch nail experience, J1 Nails and Beauty Spa is absolutely worth a visit.
I called J1 Nail to book an appointment for today at 1:00 PM. The owner asked me to come earlier, and I politely explained I would try but probably couldn’t make it before 1. She later called me back sounding very upset, which I found extremely unprofessional. I’ve also witnessed how rudely she speaks to other customers. It’s really disappointing, customers shouldn’t be treated this way when we are the ones giving them business and keeping the salon running. Honestly, the owner would be better off working in the back cleaning the washroom instead of being at the front desk dealing with people. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects basic courtesy.
It was just okay, if not a bit sloppy. After filing the edges we’re still left quite rugged and I had to smooth them at home. The top coat was done hastily and I as totally uneven leaving the edges on both sides not covered. They got busy and everyone was rushing, so that could be the reason but the result was still not great.
