Well maintained, vast green areas to do any kinds of outing picnic, berbeque, sports, just walk around the park, fishing and think you can also doing kayaking ( I saw some). Definitely worth to go for summer time, oh there's entry fee $4 / adult. Parking n washroom available, however it's better to bring extra bottle of water.
A hidden gem when it comes to conservation areas located in close proximity to the GTA. Plenty of areas for whatever event you may have with some secluded enough for an outdoor wedding if one was so inclined. Grounds are kept clean by staff who seem to always be on a schedule which is great when one is worried about bugs or wild animals. Unfortunately the portable toilets don't seem to get the same attention from the staff and there's not a waterpark for children on those really hot summer days.
The park is clean and nice , well maintained, but there is something you got to watch 1) summer time from August they close the gate and everyone has to leave park which is crazy2) you pay $4 for nothing 3) no play ground or splash pad for kids nothing activity for kids ,4) so many restrictions No alcohol no BBQ no music I gave 2 star because its very nice and clean other tan the rest is no good you wouldnt enjoy as much as regular parks
Went here July 1st 2018 for Canada Day music performance and fireworks. Good performance and amazing fireworks spectacle which was about 10-15mins in total. Well worth it. Shuttle bus from Centennial Community Center (previously was from mall) took you directly to site since roads were closed. Very organized and pedestrian/family friendly.
This is a nice area embedded into Markham residential area. It is good for hiking and picnic. It has a lake and very nice fields for picnic or birthday parties. Last time we had a very nice birthday party there. The weather was nice and children were able to play freely.
