Sold a car with a rolled back odometer. This guy's license was revoked in May, he shouldn't even be selling cars or caring about his reviews now. Check the OMViC site for numerous complaints against him and get a carfax before buying anything. I'd advise not even stepping on the lot though.
I wanted to sincerely thank Francis for your amazing service and experience I had. I was so determined to get this vehicle, and he understood accepted my deposit and held the car for me to complete payment like a true professional, despite lots of other people's interest. I see a lot of ignorant folks on the internet leaving bad reviews. Y'all need to take a step back and understand if you don't know what you're talking about or understand vehicles in general, don't expect a dealer to babysit you. Go pay a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection if you have concerns, DYOR, make sure there's no rust, etc. Have some common sense and go through a smart checklist instead of bashing the mans business because you don't know what you're doing. I read the reviews but decided to see for myself. Francis was a solid and decent man. The car range was excellent. The prices were fair. The negative reviews are because people expect a 4-8 k car to be a 20 k car. Saying that you will find great deals at his lot. Also very rare and hip cars nobody else seems to have. After seeing countless cars on Kijiji or Autotrader and surviving to b.s. most are aware of on those sites Francis is a relief and will save you months of wasted time running around. If your Realistic and want a great deal check Francis out.
I waited a few months to leave a review and I am glad I did. I purchased a used vehicle from Francis in January. I was coming from a distance, and wanted to make sure the car was in fair shape… he said it was fairly rust free and would gladly rust proof the vehicle for me. When I picked it up, it had a very liberal layer of undercoating… sign one. The vehicle was surrounded by about 20 cars and looked like it had never been moved, although he said he had it serviced. Sign two. The moment I got On the highway and started to drive over 80, the car vibrates violently. I call Francis, and he offers zero help and says he never got a chance to try it out, so sign three that I should have never delt with him. He is a true conman, and buyer must beware. I read the reviews, tried to tell myself otherwise, but unless you’re buying a fancy car, this is not your guy. He definitely preys on the vulnerable. Now the thing is falling apart and I realized I made a multi thousand dollar mistake. Don’t be like me.
I called the owner about the car and he was soooo rude. I have asked for Car fax report and he clearly said no and then I asked do you have any other car available, he said no I don’t have any car. Is this a joke?
Wow, just wow. I asked Francis over the phone whether the 2011 Subaru WRX he was selling was a clean title or not. He confidently said it was clean. This man straight up lied! I wanted to check for minor accidents so I paid $47.40 for the Carfax report and what do you know, it's a salvage title. It's so frustrating. Nobody wins. Francis gets a bad review, and I wasted almost $50. I could have used that money to help my community instead of wasting it on a salvaged vehicle's Carfax. All he had to do was not lie.
I bought a 2005 Acura MDX from Francis L. I came down from Northern Ontario to buy a pretty specific car with lots of seating, and had to drive it back 8 hours north the next day. Francis was very friendly and very helpful. We were on a time crunch and he did his very best to help us out. I am so pleased to say that the car is awesome, drives great, has minimal issues for an older gal, and I cant wait to drive it for years to come. I say, know what you're looking for and have some faith that Francis will help you out well!!!!
