I am sure Dr. Lau is a great doctor, but it is unfortunate he has such a rude team of admin as the face of his practice. I wish the ladies up front can learn to have some accountability as it is OK to make mistakes. 2 encounters with the admin and both were horrible experiences. Learn to treat people like people. Not just another number. Find a doctor elsewhere people.
I was surprised to see such a low rating. I had a great overall experience with both the receptionist and the doctor. Dr. Shen speaks English, Mandarin, and some Shanghainese. She was very friendly and professional. My mom had a urine infection, and Dr. Shen arranged a urine test right away. It’s too bad she’s not accepting new patients ,I would love for my mom to be under her care!
****前台态度差,工作人员大声哄人**** 我昨天下午是来帮我爸爸拿一张非常简单的医生报告。 我 下午1点15分 到达诊所,一直到 3点15分 才离开。 就为了这一份报告,我 整整被折腾了两个小时。 我已经很清楚地跟前台说,我后面还有 appointment,希望他们能尽快给我报告。 但他们一直改来改去、弄错了又重做,上上下下、来来回回折腾我,最后花了两个小时才把正确的报告给我。 这家诊所的 前台 —— 一位 大约55岁、身高约157公分的中国女人 —— 从一开始态度就非常不专业。 我刚到的时候,我问她会不会讲中文,她完全不理我,没有任何回应,态度非常不耐烦。 因为她不回答,我以为她不会中文,所以我就用英文和她沟通,但她全程表现得很烦躁、明显不太愿意配合。 直到后来我听到她和同事 讲普通话,我才知道她 一开始是故意不跟我讲中文。 她的态度让我整个过程都觉得非常难受、压抑。 被折腾了两个小时,又因为我后面还有 appointment,所以当时我本来就非常焦虑、非常不舒服。 就在这个时候,一位 大约50岁、身高约170公分、圆脸的中国男人 —— 他 有可能是这里的管理人员,因为我亲眼看到他 在整理货架上的物品 —— 突然走过来,大声对我哄: “出去!” 我折腾了两个小时却还没拿到报告,他却大声哄我叫我离开,我当下情绪激动,说了气话。我对他说: “我还没有拿到报告,我已经被折腾了两个小时了,我不会出去。” 他说我“骂了他”。 我当场也对他说: “如果你觉得我刚才的话让你不舒服,我向你道歉。可是你先对我大声哄,你的态度也非常不正确。” 当我说我要把昨天下午的经历写到 Google 上时,他竟然更大声、带恐吓语气对我吼: ? “你写呀,你写两百页纸,你现在写,你马上写,你今天写!” 我当场回应他说: “我现在没有时间写,我有时间再写。” 结果他继续大声说: ? “你写呀,你写!我们也可以写!” 整个经历让我非常压抑、非常紧张,也非常不舒服。 他们的态度极不专业、没有礼貌,也完全不尊重病人和家属。 我不会再来,也不会推荐任何人来这里。 **** Rude Reception and Staff Shouting at Visitors**** I came yesterday afternoon to pick up a very simple doctor’s report for my father. I arrived at the clinic at 1:15 PM, and I did not leave until 3:15 PM. Just for this one report, I was dragged around and messed around for two full hours. I had already clearly told the front desk that I had another appointment afterward and needed the report as soon as possible. But they kept redoing it, making mistakes, going back and forth, sending me up and down repeatedly. After two hours of this back-and-forth hassle, they finally gave me the correct report. The front desk woman — a Chinese woman around 55 years old, about 157 cm tall — was unprofessional from the very beginning. When I first arrived, I asked her politely if she spoke Chinese. She completely ignored me and gave no response, showing obvious impatience. Because she didn’t answer, I assumed she couldn’t speak Chinese, so I communicated with her in English. But she still looked irritated and clearly did not want to cooperate. It wasn’t until later, when I heard her speaking Mandarin with her coworkers, that I realized she had intentionally refused to speak Chinese to me earlier. Her attitude made the whole experience extremely uncomfortable and stressful. After being dragged around for two hours, and because I still had an appointment afterward, I was already extremely anxious and very uncomfortable. At that moment, a Chinese man around 50 years old, about 170 cm tall, with a round face — someone who might be a manager here, since I personally saw him organizing items on the shelves — suddenly came over and shouted loudly at me: “Get out!” After being dragged around for two hours and still not receiving the report, he loudly told me to leave. I was emotional and frustrated, so I replied: “I haven’t received the report yet. I’ve already been dragged around for two hours. I’m not going out.” He then said I “scolded him.” I responded right away: “If what I said made you feel offended, then I apologize. But you shouted at me first — you were yelling at me loudly — and your attitude was also very inappropriate.” When I said I would write about yesterday afternoon’s experience on Google, he shouted even louder, in an intimidating tone: ? “You write! You write 200 pages! You write now! You write immediately! You write today!” I replied to him: “I don’t have time to write it right now. I will write it when I have time.” But he continued shouting: ? “You write! You write! We can write too!” This entire experience was extremely stressful, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Their attitude showed no courtesy and no respect toward patients or their families. I will not return, and I definitely would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
The main receptionist Jackie is nice, friendly and helpful. Dr Jonathan Lau who is my new family Dr is nice. He takes the time to explain things clearly and really put into thoughts of what specialist or exam is needed for my case. He is patient and knowlegeable.
I’ve gone here twice and they’re very nice! No appointment, did walk-in and although the lady was in the middle of her lunch, she stopped to accommodate me and my problem because it was a little urgent! They are very quick and it saved me a lot of time as other places would take 40+ minutes while this only took 15-20!
For a walk in clinic, your posted hours are critical. Hours in google maps didn’t align when I showed up. Was told they always change their hours. Great!
Extremely rude and disrespectful receptionist and very impatient. They even lost my profile as I asked me “are you our patient?” during my last visit. They booked you for some random health check but when you got there and tried to ask a few questions, their doc and receptionist got so impatient and started giving you attitude. Very bad from top to bottom thoroughly.
