We had an amazing experience working with Julio! Our puppy, Cooper, was struggling with some behavioural challenges, and Julio didn’t just train Cooper – he taught us how to train Cooper. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain why certain techniques work, which made a huge difference for our whole family. We saw real improvements in Cooper’s behaviour and feel much more confident as dog owners. We first went to Julio because my dog was reactive toward my neighbors, and after watching tons of YouTube videos we just weren't getting the results we were hoping for. We are so glad we found Julio as he quickly understood the situation and started us on obedience training which gave us a good foundation to build onto in the latter lessons. He showed us clear, practical ways to handle those moments and point out things we were doing wrong. He’s also great at correcting the mistakes we make during the training, which makes a big difference in the end results. On top of that, Julio is excellent at keeping in touch — he follows up to check on our progress and is always helpful and quick to respond to questions between classes. Julio was fantastic in helping us understand and manage our dog’s reactivity toward other dogs. When we started, she would bark at every dog we passed, and walks felt stressful. Thanks to Julio’s guidance, we now feel much more confident, and our dog is noticeably calmer.

Our dog Lola has been going to Doggie Basics for a couple of years and the fact she runs up the stairs when we arrive there speaks volumes!
