John is amazing! He started training my puppy at 9 weeks old and it truly made a difference. John is not only personable, flexible and patient, but also tailors his session to suit both the needs of his clients and the puppy. He does not have a one-size-fits-all approach. Thanks to John’s consistent methods, my puppy’s bad habits (I.e. excessive chewing and counter surfing) have been successfully managed, and his basic obedience skills like recall, stay and heel have shown notable improvements! I highly recommend John and his puppy program for all pet owners who are seeking for additional support.
Working with John has been absolutely amazing. My husband and I adopted a 2-year-old mini poodle with very little training, structure, and socialization. We were a bit worried at first because we were essentially training a near-adult dog, but these 6 sessions with John have been a total gamechanger for us! Our main concerns with our dog Poki was his high levels of separation anxiety, leash pulling, and poor people/dog socialization. Prior to John, Poki absolutely despised his crate and now he sleeps and eats peacefully in there on a daily basis. Poki's leash pulling has improved tremendously, and overall we're in a much better spot to respond to Poki's emotional needs. It's clear that John understands dogs very well, and gave us clear, easy instructions on how to respond to Poki's behaviours (e.g., barking, nipping, whining, crying, etc.). We also super appreciate John's flexibility on appointments, letting us socialize with his (very well behaved) dogs, being communicative via text, and providing so many resources to us outside of our scheduled sessions. We are so happy to see Poki improve his confidence and behaviour with the help of John. I cannot recommend John enough!!
John is such an amazing combination of patient and loving as a trainer. He is able to give clear and concise instructions that make it easy to follow through with at home. He helped me with my Joey who was having some behavioral issues and I would highly recommend John for anyone looking for a trainer!
John is an exceptional trainer. He is intuitive and patient. John helped us understand our 11yr rescue, Sunny, and the uniqueness of having a senior dog that needed some extra support settling in. His calm demeanour spoke to our new family member. Sunny responded quite well to his training, and we truly believe that John’s professionalism was a significant part of the process.
