Alterations are terribly overpriced. Simple hem of a dress with no lining costs as much as the dress itself. Do not recommend. I can sew and understand the labour behind it but honestly they are charging too much.
Really lovely family, they do a great job and their prices are fair. It's a pleasure dealing with them. I've had items cleaned, hemmed and altered all with great success.
If there is 0 stars I would give to this business. They are not professional in their work and their communication. They didn't clean my item at all, said they can not guarantee that stains can be cleaned when I came to pick it up. When I brought it for cleaning I showed all stains and the lady said OK. Didn't tell me that they can not guarantee. They didn't even iron the pants well. I paid $24 for nothing. I will never ever go to this cleaner again.
Very Disappointed. The lady owner was so nice to me the first time I went to this dry cleaner and alterations. I went back a few times but the last time the owner's wife shorterend my dress and didn't shorten it enough to the agreed length. When I returned to tell her in such a nice way the owners wife erupted on me telling me it was my fault and that she should charge me again. She was totally different, and I was very upset. A few days later I picked up my dress. She didn't charge me, but I was so upset at the way she yelled at me I will never return to this business. In today's business world and especially in a service business the owners (in this case) should have the sense to smile and talk nicely to their customers. Remember you are not the only dry cleaners and alteration place around. Ewa.

If every business matched the quality of care and service provided at Protouch then I am certain we would achieve world peace. I'm surprised anyone in Thornhill would even go to any other cleaner than this one considering the wonderful service and very reasonable pricing that's available here. The owners, a lovely and kind couple, are some of the most trustworthy and reliable people I've encountered. I've brought them some pretty beaten up articles of clothing and they've always been very forthright and reasonable about the odds of successfully restoring my garments. They've underpromised and overdelivered every time. I can't emphasise how impressed I've been with them from beginning to end during the many years I've been bringing my dry cleaning to them. I'll always be grateful to them for restoring a much beloved silk and calfskin jacket that was very badly scuffed in a scooter accident overseas. I should also mention I've also had some alternations done here and have been similarly extremely pleased with the results. Needless to say, they are a credit to the neighbourhood and I would recommend them to absolutely anybody with zero hesitation.
