Another visit to Maki Mart to try their new weekly clam chowder soup which was nice and hot, and rich. I liked their new flavors, and particularly the crab truffle mayo handroll.
Had a wonderful time! The new soups rolling out during the winter season is a great touch! The lady helped me promptly and it was a smooth transaction! I also loved the new flavours of sushi rolls that are also rolling out!
I really enjoyed here! The texture is soft and chewy, and the toppings taste surprisingly premium. For under $10, you can try ingredients that usually cost way more at other sushi places. Great value and very tasty — definitely worth a visit.
We bought many rolls Friday noon, myself bought 9 rolls and my friend bought over 5 rolls. Both of us got this Golden Uni expecting to see Uni in it, and guess what? All we got were salmon eggs with tiny bit of Uni paste, not even a single taste of Uni since there weren’t any of it. Why is it called Golden Uni if there’s no Uni in it?
I was just there at the last Friday and purchased the golden uni, there wasn’t even a single piece of uni. Looks to be just a bit of uni sauce. The hand roll wasn’t tightly wrapped, fell apart instantly. Not first time visiting, quality has definitely fallen drastically in the fast few months.
Food is good but this is the second time the cashier has gotten our order wrong. We were missing one roll and walked out the door without it. That's costing us $5 for nothing.
This is the biggest Chinese shopping mall in Markham which attracts many customers nearby and even people far away. There are many nice restaurants offering avery good choices for people from all walks.
