I am not a singer, nor a dancer, but I do like to have fun and my recent outing with friends for karaoke, along with good food and drinks, was lots of fun! ET KTV in Markham was the venue for our fun evening. It's located on the lower level of Commerce Gate Plaza on Hwy 7 and was a lot bigger than I had anticipated. I didn't even know there was a lower level! Their alien / sci-fi / outer space theme was quite colourful, and their sound system was very good. They had a wide range of choices for songs - something for everyone. Their food and beverage menus have a pretty good selection of drinks and small plates to share. We indulged in both and it was all very good! Our choices included Deep Fried Squid (Calamari), Octopus Balls, Chicken Wings, Edamame, cocktails, and more! This was a very enjoyable evening!
I visited this location with a couple of friends for an afternoon outing. We decided to have dinner / karaoke night. Price wise, they are extremely reasonable Weekday is $15.99 ($20 after tax/service) & Weekend is $19.99 ($25 after tax/service) I loved the Alien-themed / Neon vibes. So much fun! I felt like I was walking through a futuristic space station! I LOVE that they have Private In-Room Washrooms . No need to wander away The selection of Food & Drinks were great . We tried a little bit of everything ? Noodles with Soy - this was a nice portion. ? Deep Fried Squid (calamari) Not your typical rings. These were 100% tender and delicious. I dipped them in the takoyaki sauce ? Deep Fried Milk - This was a group favorite 10/10 and the portion size is nice. Definitely order ? Octopus Balls Anywhere I go, I order takoyaki. These were crispy and squishy on the inside. I quite enjoyed these. ? Wasabi Cucumber . I mixed in ALL the wasabi. Mistake haha but still crisp and refreshing ?Chicken wings - these were great! A little salty but the 5 spice cake through beautifully ? Edamame - nice portion They have alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from. Something for everyone. While the main menu is in Chinese there is an option to search in English and we were given a tutorial by staff. We had no issues finding all our favorites. You can request advice right from the touch pad in your room. They also have dice in room to play with your friends This spot is so much fun
The food is overpriced and the potions are microscopic , The staff didn’t speak a word in English The karaoke room had no ac and the computer was glitching we couldn’t put any songs in English . 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!! AWFUL !
We had a family karaoke session at ET KTV, and at the beginning, there were several errors, including microphones being dead and the toilet being clogged. Then, they moved us to a different room which was larger and had two TV displays, which was nice. The atmosphere of the location seemed quite typical of a karaoke place --- flashy and colourful lights everywhere, intensified by the use of mirrors and shiny walls. Our room was clean and well-maintained, and workers came frequently to send in our food orders. Speaking of, the quality of food was decent, nothing special to be expected. The wontons were sort of a nice surprise as they were savoury and hit the spot for many of our older and younger group members. The song selection wasn't the best for English or other languages, however, the Chinese selection was vast. There were many French songs that I wanted to queue, but none of them existed on the system. Overall, this place is a solid karaoke spot, especially if you are fluent in Chinese and can read. There is another karaoke place on top of this one (this one is in the basement), which I would also be interested in trying out. Finally, I think the location is great, as there are ~10 bubble tea shops outside, as well as many asian restaurants.
Cool karaoke place with insanely large rooms for the group size and your own private washroom! Sound quality was pretty great too. There is a giant screen on the side you use to add songs, you can also look up and search on a WeChat app on your phone. We struggled with both so I'd recommend having some Chinese speakers/readers in your group to help. In particular, when you try to queue on your phone, there are a lot of buttons you have to click to exit out of the premium paid version to queue songs, which was pretty annoying. The free non alcoholic drink was kind of eh imo. I also wish you could queue music from a tablet or something for those who didn't have WeChat.
Internet ad saying 19.49 per head on weekend. With 13% tax , never mentioned that there are cleaning fee 15% extra until we paid. At the end, 25 per head. And we paid tips too. We felt frustrated for that they don’t tell any thing about the extra cleaning fee! Environment for the sound is ok . But some people smoking in the other rooms , the smell come over the vent from the washroom.
Bad customer service. Made a reservation a week in advance for birthday celebration. Staff claim there were no reservation made for us upon arrival. The staffs did not apologize and not even try to arrange a room for us. Got evicted :( Not recommended.
