Huge portion and good taste for a great price. The quality of food is acceptable - that said, you get what you paid for. I can imagine it's not easy to survive in a busy foodcourt like this, and I appreciate the variety it brings. Not bad;)
Very good authentic Korean food, very generous portions. The chicken cutlet bento came with two layers of chicken cutlet, we couldn't finish the meal. The purple rice was delicious. Pork bone soup came with three large bone pieces and potatoes. Soup was well done. The meal also came with three side dishes. Appreciated the pager that sounds when our food is ready so that we could sit down and wait without any mixup. Downside is they only take cash or debit, meals do not come with tea and extra bowls and cutlery come with a small charge.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! My love Gamjatang, I've missed you so much. Your pork bones are as tender as always, but it looks like you've gained some weight, although that's a good thing. Your gochujang-based broth is flavourful as always, and your perilla seed makeup is beautiful. Your outfit of purple rice, japchae, sesame oil bean sprouts and kimchi looks brilliant too, no wonder you're my Korean food of choice for days when I need comfort.
I always try to pick up an order whenever I'm in the area. Great Korean comfort food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this place, especially if its cold outside.
Ordered the chicken cutlet and it was very nicely fried, the breading was a perfect golden colour both times I ate here. Generous portion of rice and the side of 3 fried dumplings are fresh also, very crispy and warm. I wish the meal would come with a small side of soup or tea, although maybe tea would be provided if asked. 2025 update: this review still holds true and the quality is still top notch!
Absolutely trash, served me lukewarm pork bone soup, and most of the meat on the bone were cold. When its -5c outside, and I come to get soup, cold is not what I expect. No wonder when the food court was packed with eaters, only this place had no one lining up.
I was blown away by the quality of their chicken katsu bento. I'm used to getting sub-par don/chicken katsu at restaurants that do not specialize in katsu, so I wasn't expecting anything special, but HoHo surprised me with freshly cooked, meaty (I strongly dislike the restaurants that serve batter with less than 1mm strip of meat in between) and well-cooked chicken katsu. Not only was the quality excellent, but they were generous with the portion they provided. Their rice is actually delicious (and yes, there is such a thing as poorly cooked sticky rice). Side dishes included fried dumplings, japchae and kimchi - all of which were tasty! I work nearby and haven't been too impressed with other places, so I'm glad I took a chance with HoHo as I have found myself my go-to lunch place. On a side note, the cashiers were delightful to interact with. The cashier was kind and friendly, and exuded the warmth that anyone would appreciate :)
