Kudos to Markham Diagnostic Centre for having employees like Helsa and Jadie who know how to retain current patients and attract new ones through their empathy. People like Helsa and Jadie make healthcare entities like Markham Diagnostic Centre stand head and shoulder above the competition. I would highly recommend this location. I made an appointment at this clinic after receiving my ultrasound requisition from my OB at Markham Stouffville Hospital. I went to my appointment today 11 weeks pregnant and got turned down because they were unsure what the req was saying when it clearly stated, NT only, patient will pay for NIPT. They said that there should be a prenatal screening form from North York General, but after speaking to my OB, she said that I was misinformed and the additional form was not needed because I was doing NIPT (non invasive prenatal test). Front desk staff didn’t know what that was. The NIPT test has nothing to do with the ultrasound and yet the technician says that they don’t do NIPT. How frustrating! Spoke to another clinic and they knew exactly what the requisition was being asked, so I booked with them without hassle. For any expected mothers out there electing to do an ultrasound for non invasive prenatal test, it is best not to come here.
Not a great experience. Had my first ultrasound as an anxious parent. Firstly, the tech didn’t make me feel welcome, she then didn’t let my husband come in. She did the ultrasound and said nothing besides “do you have irregular periods”? And that’s it. I doubt it’ll be a positive result, but she just ended the exam and then let my husband come in and said- here is the gestational sac. It’s too early. And that was it.
Staff at the front needs to be trained. After taking all the info and asked to bring my child in and then inform me there is a wait time after sitting there for 20min. This should be advised before taking all the info.
I along with my 65-year-old mother came this morning for X-Ray services. We are not happy with the Service provided by the X-ray room staff today who was in a rush to give the directions and was not providing ample time to translate the same thing to my mother as then he was pushing hard my mother to be in a certain position to do the X-rays. Upon asking he said, "I do not have time". I hope the management of this center will discuss this with the Staff and provide the service to patients in a good gesture/manner.
Easy to book, Cantonese reception very nice also help translate for my mom during the X-Ray. Easy to find, they moved from unit 205 to unit 7-8 on ground floor.
I came here for an x-ray. I was recommended by a friend. I find the location was not easy to findt, i thought it was in the plaza but it was in a building. There's a big parking lot .So parking is easy. the office is clean and tidy.There isn't a long wait. someone also walk in without an appointment if they're not busy. Both the staff and the technician are very nice. The x-ray technician was patience and very professional. As I came on a Friday morning, I requested to get the report to the doctor office on the sooner manner. the office made an effort to send the report of to the dr office for my saturday appointment which i appreciated so much. i recommend this Diagnostic Center
