I ordered a two-kind soup noodles. 1) Shrimp Wonton 2) Beef Tendon First off, I really like the egg noodles, super chewy, bouncy and "song", just the way I expect a good bowl of Hong Kong style egg soup noodle. Lots of green onions which I luv. However, this place don't serve the "9 Yellow" plant which usually is found at Wonton Noodle Specialty place. A bit disappointment as a sprinkle of "9 Yellow" adds visual, aroma and flavour to the broth. Broth is nice, clean and doesn't overpower the rest of the noodle, which is great! As for the shrimp wonton, it was delicious. When I ordered 2 of a kind, it offers 3 shrimp wontons. I was impressed as the shrimp wonton here has a good size, not too big, not too small. Good bouncy and chewy filling, thin wonton wrap, you could see a wholesome shrimps coupled with marinated shrimp paste. Many wonton places has cut cost by offering inferior shrimp or less shrimp paste, but here at Big Trio, impressive shrimp wontons. Highly recommended. As for my beef tendon (2 choice on my soup noodles), it was alright. It lacks marinated flavour. I usually prefer my beef tendon to be more bouncy, chewy and a bit on the stern side. This beef tendon was a bit on the soggy and softer side, not really my cup of tea. Overall, this is a good HK style soup noodle fix. I may just order shrimp wonton next time, it's tasty and a bowl would $12.50 CDN + tax if just order one kind vs $14.50 CDN + tax for 2 of a kind.
I came here with my parents for an early breakfast. We had wonton noodle soup, it was very tasty the soup was very fresh the wontons had a lot of shrimp crispy and fresh. The soup was light.
The Big Trio Shrimp Wonton exceeded expectations—generously portioned, expertly crafted, and bursting with flavor. Each bite delivers a satisfying blend of freshness and richness, making it a standout choice for anyone craving authentic, high-quality wontons.
Good at what they do, noodle soups, lo mein, even fish skin. Modern yet traditional dining area. Attentive service. Beef brisket was soft and tastes old school. Preferred their wonton and dumplings. Wish the soup was served at not as high of a temperature and it would've been perfect. And wish the tea was hotter. Accepts debit and cash.
Big Trio Wonton was a late night visit for me. Their wontons and dumplings were some of the largest I have ever had. Value wise the dishes were roughly $11-12 each. I did not see a machine there for credit cards or debit. Taste wise they were good but not the most flavourful I have ever had. But in the end the price was right and portions were large. If you want some reasonable Chinese food and want to be full I’d say try it.
Very consistence wonton soup noodle. They make their food like clockwork, no mistakes, tastes the same every time. Juicy fresh wonton, noodle cooked perfectly, broth is hot and savoury.
The brisket was so soft and tender. The wanton was fully filled with fresh shrimps. The fish skin was so crunchy. Especially, the noodle texture is just right. Seems every dish we ordered was tasty.
