I have always had good experience with Sushma and all her staff... just call and take an appointment then we are good to go. The threading is spot on and the rates are also reasonable!
Apart from eyebrows, their manicure service was not good at all. They did not look like they knew how to do one; the nail polish was all over my skin and wasn't applied on smoothly or neatly (some areas were only spotted on, chipped, and there were too many flaws). It was an unprofessional service and I doubt they were licensed either. Eventually, I asked them to take off the nail polish since it looked extremely unclean & regardless, I still had to pay full price... definitely wouldn't recommend going there for a manicure!
I have been to Nulook from the time it first opened, and I can say the service I recieve is amazing. I moved almost an hour away, but I trust the service I recieve at Nulook. I know that when it comes to finding the right place, it can become difficult to determine if someone would do a good job. Personally, I know that the owner Sushma knows what she is doing, and for years have been only providing the best service to me. Needless to say, I have recommended many people to give Nulook a try, and from that point have only going here.I have been to most of the other spas within that area, and I know in comparison, I have felt more comfortable with Nulook in terms of way services are provided. All I know is, I can't trust anyone else with my eyebrows. Hope this review helps.
There's something interesting I noticed about how this spa is rated at 4.9 and every single review is 5 stars - they are false.I got shellac nails here, and within three days, it began to peel and chip, without me doing any housework. It couldn't even last a week, and after one week, it started looking so bad, I just had to peel it off. They took $30 plus tax for just one, solid colour of shellac, and it was so bad, it didn't even last. What's the point of paying such a large sum for shellac when I can just do it at home better?! Not only that, but the worker couldn't shape my nails properly and the application was not very neat. Very terrible experience.Shockingly, when I went into the spa, I saw a note standing on their desk, saying that anyone who posts good Google reviews of them will get '250 points' on their next visit or something. This means they are, in a way, bribing customers to post good reviews to get some discount in the future, and that explains why every review here is 5 stars, and are false. The workers are polite, yes, but politeness doesn't mean quality work. Terrible manicure, high price, this place is not good at all, and the reviews here are not even true. Notice how the reviews on non-Google sites are not full 5 stars.I am Indian, and sorry to say that whenever I have gone to any spa run by Indian workers, the job is never well-done. Even the Chinese spas at Pacific Mall do a good job. No Indian worker has ever done good eyebrow shaping, basic hair curls for prom and parties, and now, for nails. This spa, in particular, looked pretty nice, but the work was as always, shoddy.
This was my first time at Nulook. The staff was somewhat friendly once I started getting the services done. She did a great job when it came to threading my brows as I asked only for them to be cleaned up a bit; but I cant say the same for the upper lip. It was rushed. As for waxing, she seemed very professional and knew what she was doing. I dont think wax in a roller bottle is the most hygienic practice. It may be quick and easy but if im paying for a service I expect products to be used in the most sanitary method possible. This was not the case, as roller bottles come in contact with the clients skin. That threw me off a bit. Needless to say, a few days later, I noticed the hair was already growing back! Usually it comes back after 2 weeks or so but this time it came back 3 days later. I was very disappointed. Also, a rash formed on one arm where the girl had gone over with the wax multiple times. The inflammation was so bad I had to get steroid cream to soothe the itching. I still have bumps on my arm and its been almost 2 weeks.I usually wax on my own and have never had hair grow back that fast. I tried out this place as I heard good reviews and was short on time to do it myself. Lesson learned. If youre looking for a good place for brows, check them out. Otherwise, I would steer clear of their waxing services.
