I discovered KTS X Studio Auto Detailing through positive reviews on Xiaohongshu and decided to give them a call. When I tried to schedule an appointment over the phone for a few days later, I was perplexed to be told that I needed to add them on WeChat—a business tactic that I find rather unnecessary, which already set a negative tone. After inquiring about prices on WeChat, I was quoted $95 for a detailed wash and $195 for a steam clean. I explained that my car was mostly clean except for some stains on the mats, and they offered a steam clean for the lower price as a first-time customer deal, which I appreciated. However, upon picking up my car after the service, I found the stains still on the mats and areas around the chassis uncleaned. When I confronted them, they insisted I had chosen a detailed wash, not a steam clean, until they checked our WeChat conversation. Only then did they admit the mistake and offered to correct it, without any apology, but I didn't have time to wait another 15 minutes due to their error. I paid and left, disappointed and unlikely to return. I'm baffled by the numerous five-star reviews they have—my experience certainly didn't reflect that level of service.
