Usually not in favour of rare shortcomings or picky about minor things, but if things happen on a regular basis and continue then need to be addressed. This location, in spite its very dark history or manipulation and customers' suffering, which made it to the media and is on the internet and news, I and my wife enrolled in a plan with bi-weekly payments. We got in without any discounts or promotions as the manager explained that since the former manager for the location screwed and took advantage of customers by ripping off and being ill intended towards them, the head office has limited local locations' management power. In short, we were explained how the club works and that if we want, we can easily upgrade to any plan without any restrictions in future and we are good to go. Initially joined to regularly exercise there since this location is close to our home, we were unable to continue after a few months because of my job location varied and wife had a tight schedule with our kids, we decided to put our plan on hold, and we contacted the management to do so where we were told that our plan was on hold, without any issue. Now, we would like to upgrade to access to multiple locations plan, but, we have been constantly turned down, told that it has to be authorized by the head office, are you kidding me? It has been more than a month of a few visits to the gym and countless calls to the manager to just change our plan so we can restart our exercise, we are at the same point and finally thinking of changing the brand to another club. The whole problem still exists where the manager says we have to pay our admission fees again for the upgrade unless waived by their head office. I have diabetes and wife has cholesterol, and we have to exercise even though like many, we do have a treadmill and some dumbells but we rather exercise at the club. The worst part is when you call in to do a followup with the manager and where you are told the manager will call you and she never calls you or when you catch her she is apologetic. This is the worst experience when you pay in full and being told of their flexibility at admission time, but you find it otherwise. The staff is good and the location is clean it is just the higher management that does not know how to operate and minimize the hurdles, but instead, it is the opposite. Hope this review helps those undecided folks who want to join these clubs without any clear pictures but falsely impressed by their fancy brochures.
Terrible guest service, the staff doesn't care for their guests, they don't seem to care to help their guests or care enough to help them solve their problems. I am only with Goodlife for the corporate plan
Good gym. Friendly staff. Fellow patrons are also nice/helpful. Usually super clean and tidy inside. You can always find what you need when you want it.
Clean and well maintained. Some staff are great and others not so much. My issue is that there are not enough classes and the class schedule is misleading.There are no early morning classes!! Went to lunch hr class today only to find out it was virtual..the instructor has been away all summer and and won't be back until mid- September and no one could be bothered to find a sub. There were 16 people in the class. If this is the case for weeks on end, it should be indicated on the schedule which classes are virtual and which clases have live instructors. There are never any signs at the counter indicating cancellations or changes to the class schedule. Basically if you want to do classes go to Markville Mall!
This gym is very new and clean. Most of the fitness machines are new. A pretty spacious GoodLife, situated at an excellent location. Only issue is that during the day, there are times where there is no staff at the front counter - at times I see a stack of towels on the counter folded but no one to distribute them.
