Great place. The first goodlife fitness in Canada does not allow deadlifting
A good multi-level gym that is open during holidays like Canada Day whereas other GoodLife gyms are closed. Much preferred over the very busy Markville Mall location.
The staff do there jos and are pleasant enough, however ...1) A lot of towels on change room floor. Sometimes debis in locker room stays for days on end. We dated a coffee cup that was left on top of the lockers too see how long it took to clean up - 9 days!. The chewed gum in the shower was anther story, we named it Spiderman because it was always hanging around. We lost track of how long it hung around. *This is more a reflection of the clientele, living in the TOWN OF ENTITLEMENT than the staff. Really how hard is it to put your towel in the red hamper outside the change room. It's in the same place every day, as for the garbage well ...2) Machines break and get fixed in a reasonable time and the workout floor is clean3) I've NEVER seen a personal trainer offer advice or correct someone's form other than their client. My wife's smaller gym has much more interaction for a better experience.4) 24/7 is a real plus. However sometimes extremely busy at times and hard to get a locker and parking.A 10 lb weight is a 10 lb weight here or another gym. Ask for a 1 month trial to see if your schedule works with their flow rate before you lock in. You want to shed pounds, not tearsThought I'd update the cleanliness of the club. They posted a couple of signs and make more frequent walk throughs in the change room. Like at 4:15 the other day when the attendant picked up 2 towels. Missed the toilet paper all over the floor, the unflushed toilet, the sopping wet towel on the shower stall floor, the soap dispenser housing on the floor and the overfilled razor disposal box - Nice signs though !
Great gym and atmosphere. A zen place for me on stressful days/weeks. Staff is really helpful/engaging. Can be crowed at times, but what good gym isnt?
Excellent gym. Not too large. Feels comfortable with very friendly staff.
