Mariam is provides excellent service and the cleaning services are top notch. No business is perfect and mistakes can be made. I've been coming to this location for years and Mariam has only made a mistake once and she corrected it right away without hesitation. All these clowns that posted 1 star ratings knowingly came to the store with damaged garments and expect compensation, seriously? Quit blaming others and attempting to get stuff for free.
I was extremely disappointed seeing that overall this place had great reviews. I dropped off a dress to be hemmed and all they ended up doing was cutting it. The worst part was they didn't even cut it straight, there were ragged edges everywhere. I brought it back and they apologized which was nice and offered to fix it. After "fixing" it, it was slightly better but still with ragged edges and now another inch shorter than I had asked for. When I pointed it out that it was still uneven, the reply was that it was like that and it wasn't possible for it to be even. I'm a bit confused as to why I would be charged $34 for hemming when it was simply cutting, and not even a clean cut. I could have done a better job myself if I had known and nothing was offered for the multiple trips I made out there and the crappy job they did.
Took my Canada Goose. Got it back clean, but they weren't able to get rid of what the manager called long term fabric wear. That was fine. Feel like the fur got smaller but didn't bother arguing that. What earned the low star rating is that I had a very small cut on the sleeve and after receiving the jacket, the cut came back bigger with even more tears. The employee at the time literally was silent and said nothing other than "um...." So I came back when the manager was there which was super inconvenient. But regardless she said it was impossible and those tears had to have been there... trust me, they were not there - there was one small tear, not 4. Anyways, she offered new cuffs and I told her the worker I spoke to said since it was the companies fault they'd be complimentary... nope, she gave me $5 off and said it'd be embarrassing if I bargained for $10. I was so over arguing back and forth so I just agreed. I'm not a confrontational person so I was being very calm, but it was ridiculous that she wasn't taking any responsibility when it was indeed their fault. I don't want to say the manager was rude or horrible, cause she was being calm and collected as well - but I'd say she's just hard headed and argues with a kind smile. But trust me - the tears were NOT there. I gave the coat with one SMALL tear and got it back with a large piece of thread out and four more cuts on BOTH sleeves. Went back again to pick it up after the cuffs were installed and they put the seams on the other end, not the inside like the company does. Makes it look fake. But the cuffs were really good quality and looked like the original ones - manager said they are and I have no reason to not believe that, at least. There are better, more professional places. I didn't argue as much as I should, and could, have because I was 100% certain it was going to go nowhere. Wish I never took my coat. The jacket was clean, no doubt but they damaged it and it is a super expensive coat. I just wouldn't recommend taking a Canada Goose. I had seen a Moose Knuckle there and it was very clean. I don't know if I just got bad service cause I was unlucky, or if this is a regular occurrence. But I won't be going again. At least if the manager was more professional and customer service oriented, I would have given more stars but nope. There are more dry cleaners in Markahm.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!I brought in a few pieces of clothing for simple dry cleaning. After weeks of waiting I get a call to pick up my clothing. When I get there and look at my clothing I notice that there is a rip near my front pocket on one of my clothes. She gave attitude and basically blamed me saying it was there when I brought it in... I DON'T think so.. I would have obviously noticed as this is my work dress shirt I wear every week to work. I also had alterations done here the same time I brought in clothes for dry cleaning and the workmanship is horrible. Uneven arm lengths and pant cut offs... this place can't do anything right. And on top of that.. they made me wait 3-4 week to get my clothes back...This place is just not worth the time and money. There are other places to go to in Markham that are more reliable. Please do your research and find them before coming here.1/5 Star!!!!
Dishonest. Tried to get away with shoddy work. Offered to redo for free after I pointed out blatant problem in the hemming. It was too tight. Check quality of work before payment or avoid.
