We ordered the beef chili noodles and tomato beef brisket noodles to go. It seems that the soup base has changed. It used to be light and spicy, but now it’s much heavier. Since we ordered takeout, I specifically double checked with the restaurant to make sure utensils and napkins were included, and they confirmed that they were. However, when we arrived at the park and opened the bag, there was nothing inside. How were we supposed to eat the noodles, especially when this happened even after I kept reminding them about it? We ended up having to order food from another store, which caused a lot of inconvenience.
This noodle place is inside the Liberty square plaza. There are 3 beef noodle options - sliced beef noodle, noodle with sliced beef and beef offal, noodle with 3 beef parts(sliced beef, beef offal, and beef tendon). The noodles are a really good portion and the beef is very flavorful - you can taste the mixed five spice flavor. It’s a small place with limited seating so if you go at peak meal times there may be a short wait, but the line moves pretty quickly. Cash/debit preferred
I've always heard about this joint before, but I only got to try it today. The place is tiny, but the food tastes freaking amazing! I ordered the combo noodles with beef, tripe, and tendon. They gave me almost half a bowl of meat! The meat was so tender it just fell apart. And the flavor was super spicy and authentic. I went for the rice noodles, and they were chewy as hell. The fried tofu was just like the ones I had as a kid. If you eat in, you can get free refills on the noodles. I wolfed down two bowls in one go! Then I popped into the cake shop next door. The glutinous rice balls were so refreshing. After that, I hit up the milk tea place and had a mango slush. Man, this whole meal was just awesome
This place has become a regular for me — truly a comfort spot. I’m not from Wuhan, but I’ve somehow developed a deep love for Wuhan flavors (thanks to my many Wuhan friends who’ve introduced me to the real stuff), and this restaurant delivers the best I've had in Toronto. Their red chili beef rice noodles are hands-down the best in town. But honestly? My favorite is the mixed beef offal noodles — the niu za fen. The beef tendon is incredibly tender and bouncy, and the mix of tripe, brisket, and other cuts is just so flavorful. Pro tip: always add pickled radish and sausage to your bowl. The sausage, especially, is a personal favorite — though sadly, they’re often out of it (the only downside). If you’re craving a bowl that’s rich, spicy, and full of depth — this is the place.
My daughter went there with her friend today, and the noodles was sooooo good!! The staff is soooo nice and friendly! My daughter says it’s a must for me to try. I will go with her this weekend again
I want to write that I really love their beef noodles, full of flavor and full of beef. the initial lady was ok friendly however there was another lady who gave me my food and was super nice and super friendly. i would go again for the food and for the lady who was very smiley and friendly. i want to support local business. I ordered red chili oil beef thin round noodles. It was one of the best ones I had in a long time! also I was shocked that my food came right after I placed order too. it was hot and very fresh. What lured me in in the first place was that I could smell the noodles outside the door and it smelt really good. So I walked in not know what to expect. their food smells really good and taste good too!
Terrible service and completely disorganized management. We waited for 30 minutes while people who arrived after us got their food, yet ours was still not ready. Throughout the entire experience, the staff showed no professionalism or courtesy—no explanation, no apology, just an overall lack of care. Would not recommend at all.
