Was here a few weeks back for lunch with a bunch of coworkers. Food was pretty good overall, except for this one hot pot dish over fire where the meat is your typical sliced lamb from the supermarket (not sure if it's even halal). The huge letdown was the pace it took for the food to be served. And when it did finally start to show up some 30 min later, the rest of the dishes were staggered by another 20 min. It is inexcusable for bbq lamb skewers to take 30 min to be served.Also, food is generally expensive. Expect to pay $28 pp for a regular lunch.
Ive been here many times sometimes inviting friends over. Id say the bbq style grill is pretty good though not the best Ive tried. Be ware of the promotional items like fish. I had mixed experiences on that. Once the fish smelled bad even with the spicy soup covering it. It was pretty embarrassing for that time I brought my friend over since I gave it a good review. Consistency is needed for promotional items, if for the pricing you cant own it then dont put it out at all.
Absolutely best restaurant in all of Canada. Have been coming here for years never disappointed! Order the lamb & carrot on rice; lamb skewers-mild; lamb soup; pan fried shallot bread. Amazing!
Hard to find authentic lamb skewers in Canada. The ones here definitely aren't authentic either, but sure come closer than a lot of other places I've tried. Gwt the membership card if you plan on coming a few times in a year. Worth the overall savings to pay $20 onetime for the card (which can be shared if you have family/friends that dine here too).
Lamb is tooo good, very reasonable price. Noodle dishes are a little too oily for my taste. Will return just for the lamb!
