We order from Sushi Hon often, and every single visit reminds us why it is one of our favorite local restaurants. The quality of the food is yummy and the value for the price is truly outstanding. It is also very close to us, which makes it incredibly convenient for both quick takeout meals. What truly sets Sushi Hon apart is the heart behind the business. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest people you will meet. He is always warm, welcoming, and especially wonderful with my 3 year old daughter, which means everything to us as a family. Sushi was decent, the pieces are on the slightly smaller size compared to some places and really big avocado pieces in all of them - which I dont mind too much. Prices are decent too. My only complaint is the sushi rice had a really strong taste of the rice vinegar or whatever they used to season the rice, even my husband noticed it. It didnt bother him too much maybe because he mixes A LOT of wasabi in his soysauce and dips his whole roll in (which is already such a strong flavor).. but for me it kind of ruined the sushi taste (I do not add wasabi, and only dip the sushi a bit in soy sauce). Other than that the sushi is good. I probably would not come again tho just because I could not get over the overly seasoned rice.. was waaay too sour/vinegary.
This place is a hidden gem. The prices are great and the atmosphere feels warm and authentic. The owner is very kind and friendly, and even offered a complimentary miso soup and small salad, both of which were really good. I went alone and felt completely comfortable. The rolls were fresh and delicious, and you can tell everything is made with care. A really nice local spot that I’ll definitely visit again.

Such a homie sushi restaurant owned by an actual Japanese family from Tokyo. We were so surprised they had fresh wasabi that the owner, Jin, grates himself everyday. The sashimi was fresh, rolls were simple yet packed with flavor. The menu was extensive and price was also extremely affordable. Hidden jam for sure!
The best service you will ever receive! This was my second time visiting, I also visited on New Year's Eve and the owner is the sweetest man ever! Truly a must-visit! The miso soup is also INCREDIBLE!
so deserving of 5 stars. delicious sushi and kind service, and there's nowhere else i've been with sushi for prices this good. they don't skimp out on the sushi filling either, and i think they're actually more generous with it than other sushi places i've been to at a higher price point. i liked the soft shell crab roll, philly roll, and spicy salmon roll in particular. i can't recommend it enough and will be bringing more of my friends and family here !!
