Was looking for a large number of deep fried beef curry buns. Called and spoke with Carol who was very helpful and customer oriented. She prepared them fresh the next day and kept them aside for pickup. When in the store I found other delightful eats and bakes. Walked out with a whole box and have been enjoying them. The quality and taste are exceptional. I would recommend this bakery for its products and service.

Bought a couple buns including this one. It was $2.8 ish. Quite expensive. Just realized there was shrinkflation half a hot dog. It was also 5:20pm. I asked if they have the discounted price. They said no. According to other reviews, people said there are. So maybe they just ripped me off? Flavour of this bun was meh, mostly dry bun filling was only on the surface.

Unfortunately, I’ve decided to give this bakery a two-star rating. To be honest, when I first arrived in Toronto about ten years ago, this place offered affordable and satisfying Hong Kong–style breads and milk tea. For many people working nearby, having a char siu puff and a cup of milk tea here was a decent breakfast option. But let’s be real—it’s 2025 now. Bakeries in mainland China have evolved dramatically, offering a wide range of high-quality, innovative breads. In contrast, this bakery, and many like it, have remained stuck in the past, clinging to the belief that low prices alone can justify selling outdated, uninspired products. I understand the owner is an elderly gentleman who may no longer have the energy or passion to improve the shop. It feels like he’s just keeping the place running on autopilot, day by day, with little vision for the future. And clearly, there’s been no proper succession planning either. I genuinely think they should take the time to look at what other bakeries are doing in terms of quality—even if they don’t travel back to mainland China, they should at least visit some modern bakeries in today’s Hong Kong. It’s time to stop pretending it’s still the 1980s or 1990s. The industry has moved on, and so should they.

Brothers Bakery have been around for ages. Great spot to grab some freshly baked goods and Hong Kong Milk Tea to go if you are visiting Pacific Mall. You can take a seat and dine in if you want. This place is dated, since this is how it looked since it first opened. It caters to the people who board the Casino buses and Out of Town Tour buses in the wee hours of the morning. Don’t forget to bring your cash and your empty shopping bags, since they charge $0.50 for a bag. The bun is fairly large in size and has a good weight on it. I don’t remember it being that big. I guess it must have been to compensate for the price increase. My favourite is the BBQ Bun with the pineapple crust. No, there’s no pineapple in it. It describes the top crust of the bun, and how it resembles a pineapple. I also like the HK milk tea. There’s ample parking until the weekends that’s when it gets busier. They are opened 7 days a week fairly early in the morning. Before they close, they would always have a liquidation sale. A great sign that they baked fresh daily.

Went in around 2 not a lot of baked goods left but they did have what I went for which was the pineapple buns and the coconut buns. Pretty good would go there again!

Been coming here for years and the buns have always been good. Tons of variety for a decent price. I tried their new chestnut bun and also got a BBQ pork pineapple bun. The chestnut bun had the staple chestnut flavor but i don't think it matched well with being in a bun. The BBQ pork pineapple bun had good amount of filling and the pork tasted good. The buns are also big so it will keep you full for a while.

Daily fresh baked Hong Kong style buns. All of them are filling, you definitely get your money's worth. Pineapple bun topping is flaky and wonderfully made. They also sell plain white bread, cookies, swiss rolls and pastries. I find their buns are good value while their pastries are a tad expensive. There's a small sitting area to enjoy your bun with a drink. Cashier is quick to serve customers. They do charge 50 cents for paper bag, so please bring your own reusable bag.
