I brought one of these cakes in the cake section at Independent. It was good but the cake of it self was WAY to sweet. It was hard to finish one slice and it made me not want to eat it again. It was beautiful looking and it didn't taste bad particularly at first, but yeah I wouldn't buy it again for a small party.
We love their cakes. We don't even have a nut allergy. The most delicious and moist vanilla cake. So good that we recently had a craving for cake and picked up a 9" vanilla. No occasion needed. Nom.
Cakes by Robert made us a gorgeous wedding cake! The price was extremely reasonable and they were super easy to work with. A great option if you have any guests with nut allergies! The icing is so delicious! Thank you to the Cakes by Robert team!
This is the second year we’ve bought birthday cakes from this bakery and our guests have loved them every time. Last year we purchased a cake with a printed image and it came out great! This year we also had guests with egg allergies attending so we ordered 18 of the egg-free dairy-free cupcakes with half of them chocolate and half vanilla. I was a bit nervous about how they would taste but all the kids loved the flavour and the kid with allergy even had two cupcakes! The icing also wasn’t too much / heavy, which is always appreciated. We will definitely be ordering from here again for our next birthday celebrations!

Cupcakes are highly overrated imo, but cupcakes by Cakes By Robert are amazing! The perfect icing - sweet and creamy, not greasy or waxy. The perfect icing to cake ratio. And the perfect moist cake. 10/10 would recommend.
