I recently visited Custom Care Pharmacy and was deeply disappointed with my experience. While I understand that private companies have the right to establish their own mask-wearing policies, I found it extremely concerning that they not only required customers to wear masks but also imposed an exorbitant fee of $1.5 for each mask. This practice appeared exploitative, especially considering that there are no provincial mandates requiring individuals to wear masks. First and foremost, the decision of the pharmacy to impose a mask-wearing policy on customers without any legal obligation is perplexing. While I acknowledge their desire to prioritize safety and protect their staff and customers, it is crucial to implement such rules responsibly and with consideration for the community's needs. Without an official mandate in place, charging customers for masks seems like an opportunistic endeavor to profit from a public health concern, rather than genuinely prioritizing the well-being of individuals. Furthermore, the price of $1.5 per mask is unjustifiable. Masks are indispensable protective equipment during a pandemic, and it is disheartening to witness a business taking advantage of the situation by significantly inflating the price. Given the availability and accessibility of masks from various sources, such as local health departments, non-profit organizations, or even for free at many other establishments, the pharmacy's decision to profit from customers' safety needs can only be seen as exploitative. A responsible business should prioritize the welfare of its customers and the broader community during times of crisis. By imposing an unnecessary fee for masks, Custom Care Pharmacy discourages individuals from adhering to recommended safety measures. This creates a barrier for those who may not be able to afford the additional cost, potentially compromising the overall health and safety of the community. It is worth noting that other pharmacies and establishments in the area have implemented mask policies without charging their customers. These businesses understand that safeguarding public health is a collective effort that requires cooperation rather than financial exploitation. It is disheartening to see Custom Care Pharmacy fail to recognize this and instead prioritize their own financial gain over the well-being of their patrons. Shortly after my visit, I noticed that four individuals entered the pharmacy without wearing masks, despite the establishment's mask-wearing policy. This lack of enforcement further highlights the inconsistency in the pharmacy's implementation of their policy and raises questions about the sincerity and effectiveness of their commitment to safety and customer well-being. In conclusion, Custom Care Pharmacy's decision to impose a mask-wearing policy without a provincial mandate and charging an unjustified fee of $1.5 per mask is unreasonable and exploitative. As customers, we should have the freedom to make our own decisions regarding mask usage, particularly when there is no legal requirement in place. I strongly urge the management of Custom Care Pharmacy to reconsider their policies and adopt a more community-focused approach that prioritizes the health and safety of their customers, rather than seeking to profit from the current situation.
The slim young girl provided good service and she looks genteel and nice. One of the other lady needs to learn customer service sense in Canada instead of PRC Every customer went to the pharmacy suppose to be patient in weak state, so it's not proper to speak to customer with a laud | demanding way. To ask greeting may be too much but be nice and patient is the basic manner.
I was super impressed with this pharmacy. My family and I were in crunch to get flu shots. The typical pharmacies were out of stock and they were not helpful to suggest when the next supply will be available. Maggie reached out when she received supply and my family and I were able to get our flu shots quickly without much fuss. Best experience ever. Thank you!
In late October, we couldn't find a flu shot appointment anywhere until mid-November. I contacted this pharmacy and they were able to gave us, a family of four, an appointment on the next weekend. When we visited, the pharmacy was closed except for flu shot appointments. There was a plexiglass barrier on the counter where the flu shots were administered, and the pharmacist was wearing a mask the whole time. The entire process was quick and safe. The pharmacist was friendly and thorough. I have been in no need to fill any prescriptions since our visit, and I would seriously consider filling our future prescriptions at this pharmacy over the big pharmacy chains the next time such occasion arises.
Thank you to Maggie and your team for your great service. I really appreciate the knowledge and advice you provide when I pick up my medications. Thank you again.
