good service with pretty good selection on beer. The chicken bone dish is a bit toward the sweet side, which different from what I usually have somewhere else. The glass noodle with sour cabbage is good in my opinion. Loads of cabbage inside.
We had the best night ever at The Dragon BBQ Bar (一龍小酒馆)! The vibe was lively and cozy—perfect for a long catch-up with friends. Skewers came off the grill smoky and juicy (lamb and chicken wings were our favorites), and the small plates were spot-on for sharing. Drinks were cold, service was quick and friendly, and the music kept the energy up without being too loud. It’s the kind of place where time flies and the table stays full. Can’t wait to come back for another round of skewers and laughs!
Lots of decorations related to Chinese culture. Great alternative to Chat bar. Food was good and service varied by staff but overall they were helpful and very nice.
This place reminded me of a place I used to go to before lockdown but came nowhere close in terms of atmosphere or food. The service was not great and the food was mid at best. So listen to the hype online it’s not that great.
I discovered this place through my IG feed. This chinese bbq restaurant has a great promotion this month. You need to follow and like their post on IG to unlock the deals. The restaurant has a nostalgic 80's design and feel. There are old tube tvs, neon signs and posters of famous Chinese stars of the past. We got 1.5L draft beer for $6.99, choice of beef or garlic chicken skewers (6 pcs) $4.99, and fried steamed buns (4 pcs) $3.99. We ordered the sweet and sour pork $14.99 which was crispy sliced pieces of pork loin. We ordered squid, lamb, pork belly, and garlic chicken skewers. They were all good and I like the tablet ordering interface where you can customize your order to get no spice, less spice, or more spice. The draft beer is smooth and goes well with the skewers. There's a large self serve fridge area where they have their own branded beers and spirits. They also offer a complimentary shaved ice dessert or choice of mango tapioca pudding, and chocolate mousse. I highly recommend the shaved ice "bing see" and my wife really like it. It's similar to Filipino Halo Halo dessert. We came here in the late afternoon so it wasn't too busy. I don't doubt this place will be extremely busy on Friday and Saturday night. I am going to bring my work friends in 0ctober for a Friday night visit.
Great late night hang with friends. Skewers came out hot and flavorful. Seasoning was not too ovr powering with cumin flavor. Atmosphere had an old school HK bar feel. Drinks were at a reasonable price as well.
I had a very disappointing experience at The Dragon BBQ. We ordered our food and waited about 30 minutes before receiving anything. The first item to arrive was the short ribs, which were cold. Then we got our beef skewers, but the rice—which we had also ordered—never came. I had to ask for it separately, which was frustrating, especially since we had already finished the skewers by the time it arrived. We decided to order another batch of beef skewers, but after waiting another 30 minutes with no sign of them, I ended up cancelling the order and leaving. Throughout the entire visit, the service felt disorganized and inattentive. There was no sense of urgency or care, and it genuinely felt like everyone around us was being served while we were constantly overlooked. Definitely one of the worst service experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Won’t be coming back. Would give no star if it was an option.
