We checked out early in the morning. We left the room in a clean and smell free state. The security and house keeping saw my guest smoking in the parking lot earlier so I am assuming they saw an easy target. Not even an advisement of any issue in the room except when I called to dispute the $200.00 charge. They stonewalled on the charge despite the fact that we did not smoke in the room. This is a very shady operator, be careful, if you give them an excuse like an appearance of susceptibility they will try to exploit it. They protect each other. They have an actual security guard to try to intimidate people who they rip-off. I asked for a reversal and was denied. I am disgusted however I am telling the truth. Charged $250 for smoking when I did not smoke nor did my guest.It is too bad. Otherwise the place was adequate. Not worth the hassle. No notice was given to me of any breach of the guest agreement. They arbitrarily billed me. Be aware.
Stayed here to explore the Toronto area and a day trip to Niagara Falls. It worked for our needs which was just a place to sleep and store our stuff. It's a bit far from stores but nothing too inconvenient. Lots of different food choices in the area. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. The walls are pretty thin though.
Pro: Was able to check in early. No problems with staff. Swimming pool open from 6am - 12pm Con: hallways had a strong smell. Carpets were old and stained. You can tell hard to reach places in the room have not been clean for a while. Lots of dust. Only found 1 outlet near the bed and it did not work. Charged my phone in bathroom.
Great little cozy hotel in a busy part of a commercial/industrial area. It is very convenient to food and the highway. It's also good to see the hotel being part of the community in renting out their pool to swimming lesson group. This amenities to good use and not having to build new facilities. One big issue I experienced is that the hotel workers (not the swimming school) there smoke just outside the doors near the pool or in the back. She was rude and didnt move away as me and my young kids approached and she blew out smoke as we neared... extremely rude and I thought there was a law that they cant smoke near or beside entrance ways.
Very pleased with our stay. Staff is very friendly the manager Gary was awesome he accommodated us and is very friendly. The pool is very clean they closed at 12. I do have to say they need more pool towels, bring your towels when going to the pool. Free parking is great. My kids loved it there and we all did too.
