It’s been two years since my dog has passed and I realized I never left a review for this salon. My doggy friend had some skin allergies and we had a medical note from the vet that they were fine to be groomed as usual, but Petsmart began aggressively denying him service. I was told my a friend to try a privatized salon and I found Guau grooming who put me at ease. My dog was comfortable visiting Guau salon and came out looking so sweet and healthy. I was so happy that we found a place that we could trust with the care of our best friend. Thank you again for your help!
It was one day before my dog's birthday. I took him to them. After 5 hours, they delivered my dog to me with a very deep cut and he was bleeding, and they charged me $180. It has been a week since the cut and it did not get any better and I do not recommend this place to anyone because they only think about money and the health of the pet is not important to them.
I have been bringing my golden retriever here for years, and have never had a bad experience! The groomers are always so welcoming making sure my dog feels comfortable and happy. I would recommend to anyone looking to treat their pets to an amazing little spa experience.
They do know how to groom dogs and did a good job when I took my dog there two times. However, they are only specialized in small breeds and don't know how to handle medium or large breeds. My dog was a goldendoodle and weighed around 30 pounds at the time. The last time I took her there for grooming, she got bloody diarrhea afterward, which was an indicator of exposure to stress and anxiety. Since then, we have found another groomer, my dog is healthy and happy after the grooming sessions.
Our friends, for whom we occasionally dog-sit, take their golden retriever to Guau.....so when we adopted a 70-pound mixed breed with anxiety issues, Guau was our first grooming call. Two grooming visits so far and I think these people are magicians: I take in a disheveled, anxious dog and pick up one who's sweet-smelling, looks great, and is calm and happy. On her latest visit they even gave her a cute little holiday scarf! Great people who clearly love what they do, and do it well.
JUST LOVE IT! ?❤ Best pet shop I could find in Markham and region. My dog loves Lupita. She takes care of my pet with a lot of love and care. Today I live in QC and every time I have the opportunity to go back I take my pet there for her care.
Great place for pets! When I first got my puppy Keiko over a year and a half ago, Gabriel and Lupita have been great in taking care of Keiko's grooming needs! Keiko is a princess and Gabriel and Lupita are extremely patient with her. Keiko now ONLY lets them do her nails and give her a bath. They both take the time to treat each pet carefully and love what they do and it shows! Also they use a lot of natural products for their dogs! Keiko had an ear itch for over a month and they used these ear drops to help get rid of the itch and she's never had any ear issues ever since! They know dogs (perhaps even better than some vets)! Guau pets is THE place to bring your pets for their grooming care! Gabriel and Lupita will make sure that your pets are well taken care of!
