When my dad, a mechanic, retired this past winter, I needed someone trust worthy to work on my family's vehicles going forward. My dad recommended Scott, Dennis and John at Clean Auto. They're honest, intelligent, fair priced and highly skilled, plus they don't try to sell you on work you don't need. I'm lucky that my dad taught me how to do oil changes, tire mounting/rotations and brake jobs, but for everything else I take our cars to Clean Auto.
I just had my first experience with Scott from Clean Auto. My dealership gave me a laundry list of things they said needed to be done and I was skeptical. It would have been easy for Scott to take the list and take on the work for an easy pay day, but he explained to me what he thought was or wasn't needed after looking at my car. I was really happy with the honesty and transparency coming from Scott. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic.
Can’t say enough good things about this place .... I believe it was Dennis (?) who fixed my car. Super fast, walked me thru the pricing and labour costs .... much cheaper than expected and car works great
These are the some of the most honest and hard working men I've ever met. They have kept my cars going for the last nine years and I wouldn't trust my cars with another shop.
Work was performed in a timely manner and appeared to be done correctly. Scott, Dennis and John are polite. The muffler that was installed, which is supposed to be new, was dented, but I was charged full price for the part When Scott showed me he mentioned the tow hitch bar had to be removed for install, which was in my opinion an attempt to distract from the less than new condition of the part. Overall, I'd say it's fine to use this garage, but if you're really particular, you can expect they will arbitrage the discount they get for scratch and dent parts and charge you new. I would add a star for the work performed if the appropriate discount was provided. So far that's not the case. It wasn't offered and I didn't try negotiating. I prefer complete honesty. That has not been demonstrated here. *Update August 17/2025 Just two years after this repair the exhaust had to be rebuilt. My regular mechanic was shocked to see the hangers were torched off and the job was botched. My mechanic made it clear it was obvious to him the hangers were torched off by a bad garage because the subframe had to be dropped. See this shops reply to my original review. This is the worst mechanic work I could have imagined. Over $1700 for the original job for them to destroy my car. $1400 to fix their shoddy work.
I have been dealing with them since they first opened. Absolutely honest, knowledgeable, reliable, after many years of frustration of trying to find a good mechanic I would never take my vehicle anywhere else. Seven years since my first review and I cannot add anything but good things about this place. My two daughters are now also regular and very satisfied clients. Great job guys!
