Pretty standard station, but the charge for my credit card from this location shows up in Markham, under a different name and brand. So it’s not Esso like the other gas stations. I thought it was a fraud but thankfully it wasn’t. Just a FYI
To law enforcement, RISK. but this is not against anyone who works there. If someone runs away with gas in the station it is not the fault of people because there is a risk of people forgetting to pay because it is a self-service without prepaid as it is done everywhere. So if someone starts fueling they might forget to pay because and you usually in other stations you pay before you fuel. So in this station is different and it might create incidents where people can fuel and forget to pay not just because they want that they want to pay but the way it is designed it's designed to to make people forget. Especially if someone is very, very busy and very very rushed. This was created with voice recognition.
Used to be a nice Sunoco station. Now it is Esso, usually most expensive in the neighborhood, little space, hard to enter, hard to exit in rush hours, closes at 10pm. You have to hold the lever as most nozzles do not have a stop clip. Receipt printing frequently would not work.
This was the worst and rudest gas station staff I have ever been to. The pump nozzle does not have a lock key, meaning you have to hold the nozzle in your hand in the cold weather the whole time and press it until the tank is filled. When I politely expressed my objection to the gas station staff , he said with a rude and mocking attitude that the nozzle does not have a lock in Esso. I said, "Okay, that's how you lose your customers." He replied, "I don't care. I think not only we should not go to this place, but also having such a shameful place in our neighborhood is a poison."
Went as the gas was comparatively cheaper at 141/L or so but unfortunately the Esso app was not working for this location so I had to pay in person which meant I needed to use my credit card, rather than the GC loaded onto my Esso app. Hope that the Esso app recognizes this location soon! Edit: It seems this gas station still does not appear on the Esso app :(
Great gas station prices are reasonable thank you for switching from husky to esso. The one at younge and steels is always busy and has technical problems.
Worst gas station ever!! Will NEVER return. The gas attendant told me I must pay first. I was on the phone waiting behind 3 other people for my turn to pay in cash. It took forever and I was in a rush. I was on the phone telling my friend how long it was taking just to give $40 to get the pump on. As soon as it was my turn, the guy at the register purposely pulled out cash from the till and started counting it slowly. I told him I’m in a rush and I need to pay so I can put gas in and he said “I’m busy, wait.” I was so disgusted by this behaviour that I left and for gas at another gas station. I will never get gas from here and encourage others to do the same.
