This is the best service experience that I have ever encounter. When your 11 years old furnace stop working suddenly at 8 pm when it is -14 C. You don't feel to good. I called the emergency # and got a called back within 45 min. Long story but bottom line my furnace was fixed in a quick time. A big thank you to Tyler to call me back to assess the situation then Janice to follow-up then Scheduled Ian the technician to come home and fine the replacement part everything in a quick time and constantly calling back to follow-up with estimated time. Following my previously excellent experience with Hargrave, I needed assistance with a new furnace humidifier. With Tim’s guidance, we decided on an Aprilaire 600. Installation was professionally completed by Steven and was a significant improvement over my previous install…. electrical wires and drainage tubes organized & hidden. What a difference , no more bloody noses and dried out skin. Thank you gang, I will only call Hargrave…period.
Tim extremely capably replaced my AC in March 2022 with a recently developed 2 ton cold climate air source heat pump on my gas furnace for a government grant, which almost covered the cost. The heat pump alone has been able to keep the house at 22°C even when the outside temperature dipped to -20°C in Feb 2023. The vicinity of the compressor has been covered in ice so it is hazardous to walk near it. (This heat pump ran OK at an outside temperature of -26°C but the house had dropped to 20°C. Burning gas was needed to maintain the house temperature while the outside temperature stays below -20°C. I now only run the heat pump above 4°C and above 1000 cfm for four reasons: 1. The COP drops below 4 so natural gas heat is cheaper. 2. The electricity input exceeds its 2.5 kW rating. 3. The compressor is much louder. 4. The icy ground is hazardous.) They also did a great job cleaning up the dirt they tracked in. Steve is very knowledgeable while he performs installation and annual maintenance.
Hargrove Heating and Air Conditioning services was very professional, on time, completed a full remove of AC & furnace, re-installed my new AC and heating system in less than a day, did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. This was all done back in May 2020 and I waited for over 4 months before I gave this review, and I was able to use both AC and heating will comfort and a piece of mind.
